That bird which flew off was I think a Cattle Egret, which IS a member of the Heron Family. You know, I could almost get to the Salisbury area if I put my mind to it. Probably wouldn't camp tho'😉
Ahh yes, and Egret sounds right. Herons tend to be bigger I think. It's a fair trek from Cornwall but probably not too bad if you have a B&B or something.
What an excellent museum... I'll def have to visit there some time!
Yes, well worth it. Could probably do this and the Army Flying Museum on the same day.
That looks like a fantastic museum, thanks for sharing it!
I gotta go to that museum 😂 got RAF Cosford by, but, ya can go in any.
I would like to do Cosford, looks like there's a lot there.
@Phil480 there's like 3 hangers full of things, not just planes as well. It's free to enter as well. Just gotta pay parking.
Oh I want to take my tall friends there 😅
Dew it hahaha
Wow amazing photos Phil looks like you had a great time dude 😊 look forward to part 2.. Pete
Thanks Pete! It was a great day. Part 2 is out now
Ah, the Aurora Boreanaz. 😂A good day for white MGB GTs (or a glitch in the Matrix) 0:33 & 3:37.
Well spotted, I didn't notice that! I assume there was a meet at Caffeine & Machine that day
Awesome flashback, it was a cracking ride down there and so amazing seeing the northern lights. Damn, you missed a trick for part 2 not having your Star Wars helmet! 😀
Ah yes, didn't think of that haha
that was the best weather for camping ! every time since has not been as warm
it was top notch wasn't it, we need more solar storms!
It was a cracker of a weekend mate, great that you made it up for it. That Triumph even on road tyres is very impressive, especially where you stopped when the rider in front dropped it, that grass and camber were sketchy! You'll have to do the expert hill climb next year! 😀 I'm gonna be ordering my tickets for 2025 as soon as I can afford them.
Your video really showed off one of the criticisms Hippo-Drones had in his video: people completing the trail being routed onto the same entrance as people checking in. Beautiful looking area, I enjoyed watching the trail ride.
Yes, that was a negative. However it was only an issue on the Friday morning.
It wasn't the greatest of traffic management plans! 😀
Looks boring, eating a lot of dust.
I'm so glad I did the trial (3rd time) on Saturday when I did. It was waaaay less busy when I did. I did test ride/ drive during the day instead. Some complete tossers there though. Pressuring people, passing close.
My 3rd trail was cut short about half way round due to an incident. I had the choice of waiting for it to re-open or take the road way back to site. It was quite hot at this point so decided on returning to camp.
They went easy on us this year, where they had all those massive stones. Last year (apart from Sunday I think) there was no track there, you had to forge ya own. 18:51 I'm trying to see what bike is that, and what colour helmet, as I see hi-vis and sat down. That's what I was wearing and doing hahaha. Was similar time, as, I went past that ambulance as well, and had to fight my way through that hell traffic of the peasants, I mean, standard weekend tickets. They ended up closing the very last bit and making ya exit at the fence near the entrance of exhibitor trial. It's a great event tbh. If it rains, and grounds soaked, the trial stays open for the mad people. We've been majority lucky past 2 years. Only rained in night once, and never in day. That grass is slick as anything in the wet. I'm looking at going next year as well. Can't get the loyalty tickets, as funds wont allow me. The Mrs might be tagging a long next year as well.
You did alot better then some the big adv bikes with knobbies on 😂
Good to see the Honda running again! I hope the job situation works itself out soon, as well!
It's great to have it back. I'm on the hunt, hopefully will find something soon
Sorry to hear about the job dude, hope you're able to bounce back into something new soon.
I'm sure I will
Excellent news!, shit news about the job tho'.
It is, but I'm sure I'll find something soon
Wahey!..hope the test ride went well and look forward to seeing it back on the lanes!..sorry to hear about the redundancy and hope you find something else soon mate, rsmf, Mark
Thanks Mark, Yes, hopefully I'll find something quickly.
Its raining you sound surprised..what i has been told its rain most of the time in England like sweden..good luck and hope you find a good jobb son..
Your starting to get as bad as me in the back log department 😅
Not for long haha, I'm working through it this week haha
Would you recommend getting it professionally fit or can a newbie do this?
It's easy enough to fit if you're competent with basic tools. If in doubt, it shouldn't cost a lot of time for a professional to fit it.
@@Phil480 thank you!
I had one in 93 to 95, loved it.
I just bought this helmet and couldn't figure out why there was no side camera mounts. Thanks for clarifying that the carbon model doesn't have them despite their website listing same.
Yes, it was frustrating trying to find out what it should have came with. Otherwise, I've been very pleased with this helmet.
Nearing 100k miles??? I thought 50k was high mileage for a sports bike. There’s one from 92 in my city with 53k. Owner says it’s good condition. I discarded it because I thought it was too many miles but if it’s still viable then i might just reconsider it.
I guess for most people, 50k miles is a lot for a bike that would generally be used throughout the summer. I was using my GPZ all year round. With regular use and servicing, a high mileage bike shouldn't be too much of a cause for concern. I'd sooner go for a high mileage one with service history to back it up over something that has low miles but has been sat garaged for long periods of time.
I just got this camera. I use 1080p/60 with stabilisation. Do you know how to get date/time stamp to show? It seems to ignore when I set it on the camera with by the drift life app.
It's a bit fiddly but I'm sure you should be able to set it manually via the camera menu using the buttons. I've known the app to not always apply all of the settings that you select, or sometimes changing one setting will also change something else.
I can relate to having a backlog of videos and not being able to update my Macbook! 🤣 Looked like some lovely roads to ride through there, love the tree tunnels here and there. What a pain in the bum! What a huge mission to get him home!
What a pain! I think that would be enough to put me off tubed wheels for good!
what a nightmare
Tubed was a surprise. Then I saw the spoke arrangement.
The Bridgestone Trail Wing is very likely the worst motorcycle tire ever produced.
Haha, yes I read a lot of negative things about them. I much prefer the Metzelers that I replaced them with. I also have them on my new Scrambler.
It was a cracking evening, really looking forward to the next one 🙂
lol yeah i was thinking that one mirror has done more miles then the other, aint tested my china copys yet the arms are about the same lenth tho
Must be bad for business when weather keeps people away. Hope it gets busier for them and drier for the bikes!
Amphibious trailers might be the next big thing! That cafe looks like it should be a nice location for bike nights when the weather is mire agreeable.
Just an update buddy, im sure your missing the ol gal. A year on and 3000 miles in. I've treated it to a valve clearance check, chain and sprockets, filter, oil, front exhaust gasket was blowing, local repair garage for the total sum of £400. And today i fitted a new pair of £220 Black widow silencers. I like it so much I decided to get it sorted. Touring Wales shortly on it.👍
That's great to hear, nice one. I bet it sounds mean with the Black Widows. I checked on my old one the other day, looks like it's still going :) Good luck with the tour!
this helmet touches my chin, is that a problem for anyone else? I really really like the design but damn I'll be pissed if it actually isn't designed for my head shape
Ridiculous dealership expensive service for major tune up. Chain drive instead of belt drive. Dirty and expensive. Shim under bucket valve adjustment is a money 🤑💰 maker for the dealers. Warranty claims as well as downtime waiting for parts. Expensive and heavy 🪨.Not made in England.
Does the audio cut out when you stop speaking for a period of time, like the ambient noise around you?
Is it significantly louder than stock exhaust? I am considering buying it myself, but dont want to get tired on longer trips due to noise. Should be easy to install baffles?
It is quite a bit louder than stock for sure. I’ve not done any long trips yet, but so far as long as I’ve got my ear plugs in I don’t have a problem with the noise. I think I saw they have done a new version now which comes with removable baffles.
@@Phil480 You are right but unfortunately I believe its only on the scrambler 1200
@@OverEntusiast ahh, well hopefully they will do one for the 900 soon. I guess you can fit some universal baffles further into the end of the pipes and drill a hole to line up with the securing lug to hold them in place but seems a shame to drill them.
@@Phil480 Ill send them an email to see what they can do. I agree, would be a shame to drill holes. Thanks for sharing
Hola, gracias por tu información. Donde puedo comprarlos?
Hola.
Gracias 😊
@@cristobalmartinez1933 ¡De nada! 😃
My own built comms sounded 1000% better than this Bluetooth thing! Wow this is bad. I didn't expect. I wanted to buy a Sena or Cardo but man... Hardly believe it's this bad at higher speeds. I like all luxury feature though, like voice dial etc
Gutted for you about the CRF and the upcoming camping trip, at least you are not having to cancel it totally and can bring another bike instead.
that happened to me last year on the way up to the Wild Weekend, we pulled in under a bridge , changed , and by the time we set off again the sun came out !!!!
Typical hahah!
Does still triumph need engine to drop to change the clutch?
Hello! Gauge show correctly tyre pressure?
Bad review. And doesn't even look into the camera. Just at himself in the live view. And who makes a motor biker review that doesn't own a bike!!!! WTF!
Yep, this reviewer is clearly a poser. Buying a helmet just because it's cool. I bet he hasn't even watched Top Gun either.
Mileage is probably a bigger factor than age re Japanese bikes and parts seized / rotted.
Spent today washing and chain maintenance ready for tomorrow
