  Check out his cover of Nessun Dorma. It is absolutely amazing! He also sings acoustic songs like Scarborough Fair and Loch Lomond. You name the genre, and Dan can sing it. Thanks for your reactions to Dan. I've thoroughly enjoyed them😊😊

  I know this is kind of sacred ground, it is too me too as my favorite song. I'm telling you, I know this man and his music, and he was a in NO way trying to make fun of our anthem, only to show aa completely different way of singing aa song differently. He does that MANY times with MANY other pieces of music, whether from metal to non-metal or vice versa. He really his brilliant. He is a classically trained singer and knows exactly what he's doing, and as a classically trained singer myself I can tell you that he has a gift only God can give. He only sings songs he believes in, and he won't do it half-assed. I don't know why he doesn't tour or move into writing his own music, but his covers have been fascinating, even amazing me when he wipes the floor with (for example) my favorite vocalists of famous big theater songs. So please don't judge him, he's done nothing wrong and needs to provide no apology. He has such passion that bursts out in his voice, and there is no reason why our anthem can't be sung in a different way like hundreds of other songs, some of them just as sacred.

  As a combat veteran of the U.S. Army (11B) I love my National Anthem and what it stands for...that said, what I heard was someone singing it with FORTISSIMO (very loud) and with feeling. The Star Spangled Banner is a poem written as bombs were bursting in the air. Dan Vasc does Francis Scott Key proud...he sings it loud and clear FOR ALL TO HEAR. "O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation! Blest with vict'ry and peace may the heav'n rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto - "In G0D is our trust," And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave."
