I know it would be a waste of corn but would love to this in action against a couple rows of 5ft corn stalks 😂
You got a smoking deal, that’s a 8,000 dollar baler all day long.
Hopefully going to put it to the test soon!
Turn the music off I want to hear the reality of everything happening
We plan on doing just that in future videos!
That would be fun
Mowing is very satisfying!
Yup John Deere balers and baby powder are partners in cow chow
Never knew baby powder would be so useful in an agriculture setting lol
Bent driveshaft? fix it..
There's no bent shaft but we did have a guard that was missing a safety chain, causing a wobble of the guard. It's since been fixed.
I got a 456 baler and the net keeps wrapping around one of these rubber rolls. Why is it doing that?
Sounds like there's too much friction on the rubber roller. Apply baby powder and lot's of it! There may be other videos that go into detail on it. Thanks for the question!
Ok ,will do. Thanks @cripplecreekfarmsky
How many acres per hour can you cut with this setup, and grass similar to this height.....
With a 20 ft mower, averaging around 2.6 mph, and giving a 10% overlap you're right around 5.5 to 6 acres an hour. It would also depend on how much turning around you would have to do in the field. Thanks for the question!
Looks like everyone in KY is in hay!!! We just finished our crop.
We've been pretty fortunate this year! Some have already gotten a second cutting. Fingers crossed for no late summer drought!
i now with an mx10, i don’t turn as tight as you, do you let off the rpms or are you more comfortable with the equipment?
It just depends on the terrain but over the years you just get the feel for what the tractor and mower are capable of. Thanks for the question!
Some pretty country up there! Have to be mindful of those bales rolling down those hills I see ha ha
Oh, we've had our fair share roll off down the hills over the years lol
@@cripplecreekfarmsky I bale on some hilly ground but nothing like that. But did have a run away bale this past weekend. Lucky for me a ditch stopped it lol
What is tedding? I had no idea Kentucky is so pretty.
Tedding is the process of ''fluffing'' the grass that has been cut. What it does more precisely is spread the grass out all over the ground to allow more sunlight and air to penetrate, which helps the grass to dry out quicker and allows you to bale it sooner. It's a wonderful tool to have! Kentucky is absolutely gorgeous. You could never get me to leave!
Very interesting!
Thanks! I hope it was beneficial for you in some way. Thank you for watching!
tedders are a great aid in making quality hay
It's the most beneficial piece of equipment to have in the hay making process.
Some days you wander if you are a mechanic or a farmer. If you can’t fix your own equipment it’s tough to farm
Very true. It's almost cost prohibitive these days to take it to a shop.
My son loves watching the tractors!
Hopefully we'll have more videos soon! Thanks for watching!
I have the same exact mower as you do but except I pull it with a John Deere 7810 Dually
Want to trade tractors? lol. We talk about going to large squares one day and a 7800 dually sounds wonderful! Thanks for watching!
Blades need to be replace...
I thought they cut well lol. Thanks for watching!
Ill be doing this soon on a 1900 stucco-frame house in the desert,,likely I will run some block in teh corner since the wood is just on the ground,,thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! Best of luck on your project!
25 % of this video was spent playing with your self!!! get organized
Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
Boy just barely made that trailer. Good job.
It's definitely a snug fit getting on there! Thanks for watching!
So satisfying. 👍
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Θέρμανση πετρελαίου 😊
i play farming simulator 23 and i love the sound of those deers bro.
I've been debating on buying the game here lately. I'll add this to my list of excuses to get it lol
@cripplecreekfarmsky I wanted it when it came out but like you I was contemplating about the price. I just got this year at a cheaper price only reason I have it. it's a cool late night game but it's very tedious
Te copio la idea. Muchas gracias.
De nada!
I always put my bucket on the front when mowing, especially the first time of the year. Always a limb or tree down around the edges.
That's smart to do. On this particular job we knew we could mow everything we needed and decided to save the weight transporting the tractor. Thanks for tuning in!
😅😅😅😮❤
Maybe someone has asked this but why not make that into hay?
While there was some good grass below, the field had too many weeds and was deceivingly rocky and bumpy. The quality of the product vs the time, money and abuse on the equipment just wasn't worth it. Thanks for the question and for tuning in!
@@cripplecreekfarmsky makes total sense, thanks for your reply!
How long would it take to cut 40 acres?
Depending on mower size and speed you're able to cut it because of the thickness of the growth, anywhere from 8 to 12 hours!
Love the dog and the goat at the beginning adorable
We sure love them! Thanks for tuning in!
Awesome, right tool, right job...
Gets it done every time!
Something very satisfying about cuttin' grass- either with a riding mower or a bush-hog..luv' it......
You got that right! Thanks for tuning in!
That truck has to be pretty well over loaded…
The ol Chevy got it done lol. We now have a single axle semi so no worries on weight now!
That's some perseverance sir. And at no time do I feel frustration at your part. Well done.
Appreciate that!
We have 120 acrea of Hybrid Tifton Coastal about 15 miles from Home base..... We complete each phase of cutting, Tedding, and baling, hauling, stacking under cover as a unit.... one in the field loading 2 semis with flat beds, 2 Duallies with 40ft Big Tex trailers, 2 at sheds, one taking rounds off trailer setting on end so stacker tractor can put under 1 of 5 sheds, 10 bales across., 4 high make a row 40 rows total.......... We have moved over 700 bales in 2 days....
That's the kind of numbers we would like to do but land for hay is few and far between here
We have sprigged about 80 acres within a radius of 5 miles of home base...... We do it as a phase also,,,,, Our yearly count can be close to 2000 bales of which we try to convert as many as possible into small squares for sales thru TSC stores....
Thats Awesome!
Thank you!
Great channel, deserves more followers!!
I agree, more subscribers would be great! lol. And thank you!

How long did it take you to cut the 40 acres what is the cutting width of the mower?
A little over 6 hours give or take.
Крутая штука! А как справляется с неровностями?
That leg 7:05 in between two pivoting pieces of equipment make me nervous .
Ha, understandable but all good!
are they going to bale hay out of this now?
No, unfortunately they are trying to develop this property
how come one drive shaft bounces around so much?
That shaft guard lost the chain than holds it steady and in place. It's since been replaced!
Turn the 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 loose
Ha, we wish we could've!
how many goats to the acre? and for hoe long? not a farmer I'm just curious :)
We had roughly 45 goats on 5 heavily overgrown acres for 6 weeks!
