Brand new cable gets so jammed and you can’t even pull on it. It’s just a nightmare, the wind rope that I broke was from Amazon hundred bucks later junk, but the original Canam rope for $180 that didn’t last much longer when I was pushing some dirt around, I snap that too. They’re not made for hard work it seems.
What happens if this sake thing happens, extract bolt. Replace bolt. Have vacuum at pump again but still a hard pedal, ok until used once or twice then goes hard again. Let idle brake is good, use brakes loose pedal

I have a 2010 Mazda CX9 which are supposedly the same vehicle as the ford edge. Mine has a 3 piece drive shaft with 2 hangar bearings. They do sell the bearings seperately but after not finding anyone online that has actually done a 3 piece shaft bearing replacement and reading the reviews on amazon, it seems that the 3 piece shafts do not come apart like the 2 piece shaft does. I ended up ordering the whole shaft assembly with the 2 hangar bearings and all new u-joints for $250 from ebay. I know it's more expensive then just replacing the center bearings but you get the benefit of getting an entirely new assembly. You also get the benefit of an easier job. If you try and buy the entire shaft from some place like advance auto, they want upwards of $800 for the part. Hopefully the shaft is well balanced as well as the OEM shaft was.

How long did you run that motor after the shaft replacement? Any issues with debris? I just did this myself and obviously nervous about any debris that might be left behind.
I taped a small clear tube to shop vac and sucked out cavity. Then I ran my DEPSTECH camera in there and saw nothing motor still running
Note that the spline has one groove that is wider than the others. It will go together only one way. I think you can see this in the video at time 9:37. This is for proper balance. You should mark both sides of the shaft before you separate it just in case your spines aren't like this so you can put it back together the same way.

You forgot to show how to get the pump lever positioned correctly on the cam. I have only ever did a 360 and a Chevy 307 back in the early 90s so looking for help.Your motor sounds bad ???????????? If I had noticed the Eastman sticker I would have passed this up. I will give you a thumps up anyway and find out how to position the lever.
Lever just goes underneath cam. When you go to slide it in if it’s fighting it you pull it back out. And turn engine over by hand tell you rotate to low part of cam lobe. This will make it easier to start the pump bolts because you won’t be trying to compress lever to line up. Sorry wasn’t more helpful

These bolts usually don’t bottom out in cam so try just taking a flat blade screw driver apply good amount of pressure with it and try and turn counter clockwise. I have had several just turn out that way. Otherwise Pack rag below bolt and get a reverse or left handed drill bit some call them. Coat with grease and start to drill out use spring loaded center punch first so your bit will hopefully start drilling in center the grease on bit will help collect metal filings. When you start drilling the bit will grab and usually spin right out. When you get it out take shop vac and suck up any left behind debris. Install new part and change oil before starting to remove any other debris that may have got in motor. If it doesn’t I am afraid you will have to pull cam out and have machine shop remove or replace cam. Hope this helps

Just did mine but i had a major oil leak no vaccum problems.. Fairly easy fix! I got a deal on the car i bet they thought they needed a head gasket... its around the same area!

I've ran into a lot of trouble,... with the replacement pump's (Carter... china one's),... had 3 of them on.. in 6 months,... new front and rear tanks.. sending units.. lines,.... everything,... theres gotta be a better mechanical pump out there........

Carry an extra pump under the seat (and tool's),... just changed another out last friday,... on the road,... that make's 4,... there's no pre-load on the new style arm,... I'm guessin' that's it... the rubber inlet hose (on to the pump) will loose it's prime,... and vibrate........

Just a heads up, don’t use a step bit when installing the visor on the cab of your truck unless you remove the headliner. You’ll end up with two holes. One on the outside and one on the inside. Use the proper side of bit with a drill stop on the bit. Just me talking out loud 😉

How did that budget coil perform? Did it last more than a couple months? Keep hearing everyone saying to only use OEM VW coils or they either wont work correctly or will short out in a short period of time.

It works just fine you on need 12 volt power source with key on. Truck is still running great
