  Would be nice to actually see it being done rather then just speaking it 🙄 Ok got it by having another look at my instructions if you want to use the extendable rod you need to remove the decorative piece (finial) from the fattest rod as that needs to go in the middle between the two thinner rods then put the finial on the end of the thinner rod
