This is why I don't like the Egyptian technique. The waist twist generates long-term injuries in the lower back. I think that is a wrong way of teaching. Regarding the player but not everything we see on the internet is ideal
@hossamsharaf23422 жыл бұрын
Please look up Professor Stuart McGill the leading expert on spine biomechanics. The twist is not from the lumbar region as it has a very small degree of motion. It is mainly from the hips and the T-Spine. Review also the joint by joint article.
@pabloherrero98552 жыл бұрын
@@hossamsharaf2342 Thank you, I understand what you are saying and I will see McGill's contributions, however, as seen in the video if there is a compromise of the lower back and also in the heat of the game it would be very difficult and against the technique to perform that turn from the hip area including the legs. I have seen injuries caused by that type of rotational movement.

Salty Box Gaming I agree however in Ramy’s case he can and he is also a role model the kids aspire to be like. He is also able to simplify things which is an important attribute in a great teacher. You know there is a quote that says “It isn’t what you do, but how you do it” so while most squash academies do the same drills, the attention to detail that Ramy has makes the drills completely different.
@apt9813 жыл бұрын
@@hossamsharaf2342 the attention to detail was really bad... He just had the kid hit the ball. He wasn't moving into the shot at all. Salty Box Gaming Salty Box Gaming the kid already could hit the ball. Ramy was teaching him his own style of gripping the racket and swinging. Perhaps it’s because you don’t understand Arabic but the attention to detail was there. Also when you teach you can only focus on one point two if the kid is really good and you let other wrong things go by till he gets good at that point and then you gradually fix the other problems but you can’t tell a kid to focus on several points at once. The priority here was the grip and swing the way Ramy does it not the rest of the world.

Dessouki is so painful/annoying to watch... I saw him playing Gautier in HK full of stoppages, and terrible match he had with Diego Elias. Dessouki always wants to get cheap points from strokes and when the referees don't allow him he takes personal. Also try to see the match with Mawar. But this match is even worse. Ok clearly he's in physical discomfort you can see him bending over and grabbing his stomach repeatedly. But no excuse as a professional player
