Wow, I’m shocked at how many rude and negative comments there are. It’s not even a bad take on this song. Nothing’s perfect, and we can always improve on things as musicians, but you should definitely be proud of where you’re at. I hope you continue to keep playing. Kudos!

Hey there! I recently got into photography and my first show to shoot is coming up soon. I’ve done all the research and have been practicing, but my main goal is to shoot The Vans Warped Tour 25th anniversary this year and apparently there will be an application to fill out in March but you have to be apart of a publication. Is there a way to get a photo pass without a publication specifically for Warped Tour? Should I contact one of the bands playing or Kevin Lyman himself? Thanks for your time reading this :)
@dieterunrath59115 жыл бұрын
It may be a different this year since it's only a weekend festival I can't say for sure, but on past Warped Tours you can definitely get a photo pass through a band playing! You could also always try contacting Kevin too but he's a very busy man and these bands are also probably bombarded with similar emails, so be patient and don't be discouraged if you don't hear back straight away! Good luck!!

Hey Dieter, I really appreciate you sharing all that helpful info. I’ve been doing all kinds of styles of photography since 2011 and just recently fell in love with concert/music photography over the last year or two. Last night I made portfolio of my concert work with about 20 photos and I was wondering if that was enough, so thanks for covering that! It’s a dream of mine to be able to photograph Cage The Elephant and they just announced a tour a few days ago with a stop near me in July, so I think today I’ll send an email out to em. If I don’t hear back from them, would it be appropriate for me to then get in contact with the venue to see about a photo pass since I don’t work with any publications? And if so, about how long should I wait for a response from the band before reaching out to the venue? And in your video it sounds like even with a photo pass, a ticket is needed, correct? I have no idea why but I was thinking that after shooting the first three songs of a show for a big band at a big venue, you were supposed to just leave the venue lmao still new to this genre of photography and still learning! Thanks so much for posting this video and thanks for your time.

Yo! 20 should be fine that'sabout how much I have on my site. You can try the venue if you don't hear from management, although most of the time the venue doesn't grant passes themselves. Wait maybe a week or two and then follow up with management and if nothing on the second follow up maybe try other routes. And yes, you usually will need a ticket in addition to the pass if management doesn't provide you one on the list. That sometimes depends on the venue though so if you're unsure, contact them!
