  Whenever I watch some of their lives, they sometimes forget to check the audio and I laughed so hard when they don't know. My favorite moment from this video is their live with the deep voice and the filter on Yangyang as a potato.

  okay I just read about your opinion on 'BTS paving the way', and as much as I'm frustrated that there are still people who question about BTS paving the way, I'll explain to you why everyone believes that. First of all, paving the way means making it easier for others to do something, the keyword being 'making it easier', not 'the first to do something'. You can be the first to do something but that doesn't mean you are making it easier for others to do. In case of PSY, he became worldwide popular with Gangnam Style, got invited to a bunch of American shows and even got to collaborate with big artists. However, the hype died down with the song. Not many people cared to know more about him or the genre of his music (which is kpop) and never bothered to discover what kpop is hence why kpop didn't really become that huge phenomena after gangnam style as you'd think it would. let's also go further back and remember when girls generation got invited to a western talk show. That was a one time thing, rarely any kpop artists could go to a western talk show again. Kpop was forgotten just like that. Fast forward to BTS, they won bbmas in 2017, and they got reallllyyy popular at the time. A lot of people thought it would die down, however they only got bigger and bigger. And because they were still popular and relevant, the word 'kpop' did not die down like before. People were talking about bts, and they would be like 'oh bts, that kpop group?', so now kpop became something that general public knew about. now if you ask anyone, they will obviously say they have heard of kpop. they might not have heard any songs (Which I doubt cuz dynamite and butter exist), but they know what kpop is now. Also, other kpop artists slowly started getting invited to western talk shows after BTS attending them. Seventeen attended some talk shows, super m, twice, and so many more. Now even billboard and amas and vmas created a 'Kpop' category in the award shows and artists like stray kids, txt are also getting nominated in them. Because BTS made 'kpop' known to the general public, a lot of kpop artists are also now able to collaborate with huge western artist. like stray kids with charlie puth, txt with anitta, and so many more! This is what people mean when they say 'BTS paved the way'. BTS paving the way doesn't diminish your artist's hard work, it doesn't mean that others are useless. It only means that because of BTS, kpop is getting more recognition now and kpop artists are having it much easier to appeal to the western and global audience.

  im a year late but I understand the reputation that Army has.. ppl who are not in the fandom assume that the whole fandom is just toxic for no reason. But ultimately all we (army) want is for BTS to be respected and taken seriously. Ppl who r not into kpop or who are not a fan might not understand this, but Army and BTS went through a lot together. If you think i am joking, BTS has even songs where they talk about how it was BTS and Army against the world. I would say BTS and army really have a special bond because of how we both have each other's backs. Army is a great fandom, we have lawyers, teachers, doctors, military personnel, there are even army who are working at NASA. The only time Army is toxic is when ppl are disrespecting BTS (which btw happens a lot on a daily basis, men with toxic masculinity relentlessly putting down BTS, slandering them for wearing makeup, for looking 'girly', etc.). But if you are respectful, you really don't need to be worried about anything. Borahae <3

  In my opinion, it's okay to recieve criticism. They are not judging and evaluating their skills like they would do in trainee days. They are assessing a single performance. They are not talking about their dance, rap, vocal skills. They are judging their stage presence. They just want them to execute the performance in even more charismatic way so they can be attention grabbing performers. Like in the following episodes you can see how strong their stage presence became. These are common in the industry, they're obviously gonna keep it harsh and never gonna commit for anything less than your original potential. I mean look at them now, they own their stages. Also, hye lim had told them to watch out for their expressions the other day.
