As someone who’s been a fan of Dave Grohl since Nirvana, I’m surprised he’d stoop this low. He’s always seemed like the type to support other musicians.. And for anyone who doesn’t know, the “errors tour” has been a pet name for Taylor’s tour for a while now. He didn’t make it up. She’s had plenty of blunders that have proven she’s doing things live. A quick KZread search will bring compilations up. My assumption is he only saw the film which was sound edited due to crowd noise.

Yes foo fighters are 100 % live , while taylor has backing tracks while indeed she does sing live throughout each song, it's just not the same as Dave's rock n roll band with every detail being live. Hey guys she has 150 shows on this tour that are 3 hours each; sometimes she does lip sync so she can save her voice. Obviously not all the time, but def sometimes. And yes, Taylor Swift does have a backing band, but I think Dave meant how she plays some acoustic songs and whatever but the majority has a backing track and/or her backing band. I had to do a little research on this, so yes, this can be proven.
@stumpedthestump1275 I was lucky to see Celine Dion live right before Covid and now her diagnosis 😭 and I was under no illusion even that even Celine uses backing vocals for certain parts of songs and notes. It's easier to hear it with Celine because her accent is more noticeable when it wasn't overlaid. It's not wrong to use backing, look what Mariah did to her voice. Also, I'm a big Foo fan and causal TS listener, I highly doubt he was being super serious. I think the punch line was probably more supposed to be poking fun at his own shows
