Moxxi Retro Gaming

Moxxi Retro Gaming

He might look like some guy who decided to have a KZread channel about retro gaming, I mean, he IS old, bearded and bald, but Moxxi/Vaughn actually has lots of professional gaming experience.

You might remember him from www.cheatcc.com AKA Cheat Code Central (defunct as of 2020) where he cut his teeth on what he calls "game journalism" complete with the quotes when he joined the site in 1998. From there he was CCC's full-time site overseer of reviews, articles, interviews and entertainment.

In 2001 Vaughn became site director of "Cheat Code Central Platinum" where he and his writing team, including brother Cole, entertained the masses 365 days a year. He was also instrumental in launching CCC's Cheat Codes Magazine published by Beckett Magazine in the mid 2000s.

Vaughn also created Moxxi.com which he operated with his bro Cole, which was a popular all-female gaming video interactive site that ran from 1999 to 2001 (see the first video ever uploaded to this channel).

Hard to say this is definitive, but a good start. I love alligator hunt, in the hunt, Wild West cowboys of moo mesa, sunset riders, blood bros, go go mile smile and tons more. Arcade collection is just so deep.

Best Bout Boxing -Shocking omission 😊 I’ve found myself playing the capcom arcade pack on the switch a lot, I’ll get round to getting the arcade stick to work on it then it will be perfect. The switch version with scanline looks better than the MAME emulations I think….plus how the hell can anyone put themselves through Ghouls’n’Ghosts without the rapid fire button and rewind function of the capcom switch pack? That would be pure torture.

It's not that shocking since I've honestly never heard of it, but I checked it out and it looks great! Thanks for that! I love when you guys introduce me into new games! I was quite busy in 94 and there barely any arcades in my city then, so it's easy to see why I missed it. Ghouls n Ghosts is a toughy, but I did beat back in the day (Genesis). Just beat Ghosts n Goblins Resurrection on PS5 on the second difficulty setting - which was STILL hard but I was surprised it didn't send you back to the start to actually beat it. Probably the harder difficulty levels do that. Thanks for taking a moment to comment!

Damn, I completed this one in a completely odd way! After half an hour dying, I jammed 4 drones and deactivaded one, leaving one good to shoot. But to destroy the remotr control I had to k.o the captain right behind the pillar in the center so the shots wouldnt hit me

There is no way Astro Blaster would have made this list! Not because I don't like it, not because it's not worthy... it's simply because I literally forgot it existed! And of course, I go way back. I had to google it to see it and watched some gameplay and it definitely looked familiar but I can't recall ever playing it. I'm sure there are many others that I forgot or simply never knew! Thanks for reminding me and possibly jogging my brain meat!

Thanks Spoderman!! You can blame the greedy crooks at GoAnimate who literally sent me (and other subscribers) this email: "GoAnimate’s other subscription plans better meet the needs of our growing customer base. As a result, the GoPlus plan has become less popular, and the decision was made to retire it." Their GoPlus plan was $6 mthly which according to them was "just not popular" so they raised it to $39 monthly to increase its popularity. 700% increase. The 3rd one was almost ready and then they did this.

For arcade fighters there is a very specific one that escapes me right now but x-men vs street fighter. Also I seem to recall rival schools but mostly played that to death on PlayStation with friends when that version came out.

You're going to have to feel around in that sound hole without your eyes. It's not fun. That's why I gave this guitar away to a hobo and that's why all of you should do the same! Don’t change the battery, give your plastic-rounded-backed, terrible playing/sounding guitars that everyone thinks are great to the nearest hobo. Preferably one at the train station so he can hop in a box car and get that Ovation away from polite society.
