YetAnotherAdventure

YetAnotherAdventure, hi my name is Abel and I purchased this transit connect as a weekender vehicle. From a stripped out cargo van to a detailed build. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t have to!

You got rid of that sweet looking 4runner for a Transit? I mean a bulletproof proven dependability Toyota giving up for a Toyota, yikes! Why not just put a bike cover over the bike? I'll probably not come back to this channel just because you did that.

Hi, I really like your videos. Very inspiring for my project. I'm in the process of installing my fan. What size of wood did you use and how did you attach it to the vehicle?

IF YOUR HAVING THIS ISSUE FIRST if you are not a mechanic get help, this work is not for learning on 1. Check CV half shafts going into front diff for play, could be CV needle bearing and require clamshell bushing upgrade. 2. Lug centric road force balancing that is match mounted for all four wheels 3. Check ball joints & tie rods with a 12-6 , 9-3 (o’clock hand placement) with vehicle in the air (hands on tires) for play (free movement/wiggle/slop) 4. Check vehicle alignment. 5. For the love of god, use jack stands 😂

I bought a 4 Runner this year 2023 and the steering wheel skakes when it's at 60 mph . I took in to the dealership and got into another one to check it and it does the same thing. Do I need to worry about that.

Question, Toyota doesn't install puddle lighting at the port before delivering in 2023. My wife gets off work late at night. I'd like to install rock lights under the chasis to make sure some fool isn't camping out under the 4 runner and will attack her. In my perfect world I'd like to see my wife use her truck remote to lock and unlock button to engage the puddle lighting. Instead of her keys in one hand and a cellphone app in the other. Got any ideas ?

I'd have gone with the SD Wheels personally. Also there sure isn't very much clearance in the front for those tires to turn if the suspension is compressed. Let us know if you notice any rubbing

Toyota told me the steering wheel shake is normal on my 19 4runner that it's the falken tires, AT3 aggressive tread. I also now have a new suspension noise. I am at 31k miles. I don't know, I hear these 4runners have a lot of suspension issues. I had hoped to get away from unreliable vehicles when I got rid of my heep of a jeep.

I noticed my runner does this most in the morning and im pretty sure its temporary flat spots. I did an experiment where I put it up on jack stands overnight to keep the weight off the front tires. The next morning it drove as smooth as butter...I did a little research and I guess all AT tires that are also snow rated are built with a nylon cap that aids in cold weather traction. The problem is that nylon also likes to "Set" when it cools, thus forming a temporary flat spot. This flat spot isnt usually noticed on most cars but the 4runner is extra susceptable due to its sensitive steering rack.

Hi. Questions. I have 2016 4RUNNER. Installed Bilstein 5100 front and Rear. I noticed that front right side is higher that the left side. Right side is higher about 0.5. What is it to be done? I brought it back to the shop. Shop said, that's how it works to make it even. Please need your help. 😊 thanks

It comes down to four things. Make sure you have a good tire that has under 15lbs of road force, make sure you have plenty of pressure in each tire, make sure your lugs are torqued to the EXACT same torque, and make sure your tires are clear of any rocks. Our steering racks are EXTREMELY sensitive to imbalances, plain and simple.

I don't have a bike, but I have three dogs. Despite removing the bottoms of the rear seats and making a large platform, there was room for the dogs but not room for my gear. So I was glad to sell my '15 4Runner Trail after 5 years and I'm much happier with an '08 Honda Element for my lifestyle! All the best to you.
