That was an illegal hit at the 11:00 mark. The guy in yellow hit it into the ground on his side before it went over the net.

Poor Andy...so inconsistent. Indicative of players who must hit it hard with flawed strokes. Really needs some get it in the court lessons.

I love it when the big yellers have nothing to yell about at the end. The others played their game and saved the celebration when they actually won.

really great tennis! wow, all the players were really good. Yeah, the winning team was just quite a bit better, but the losing team looked like good 5.0's, just getting a little older. Yeah, lefty was great, but his partner volleyed very well too. Bitsy, hit some great shots too, but those great shots were nothing the Terrell team couldn't handle. I was particularly impressed with the great pickups on approach to net.

Both of these woman would lose to an average 3.5 man.

Well, interesting playing. Comments? Riverbrooke woman was pretty decent, maybe a 4.5. Park women seemed more of a strong 4.0. Riverbrooke man was pretty poor at the net. But his serve was decent and he kept balls in play. Maybe a 4.5, though his net play didn't say so. Park Brooke man had great serve, pretty good player. But his slap slice forehand was very foolish. He had the ability to hit a good solid topspin. If he didn't try to use so much of the power to make it go fast, and applied more of it as topspin, he would have won many more shots. He was clearly the best player, only his backhand was weaker. He did play "nice" and not try to "hit at the woman" which probably cost him quite a few points. Some nice shots, but plenty of not so nice ones too.

Really helps to see what level of play earns a 4.5 vs 4.0 etc... Not quite at 4.5 level, but my partner and I could win a few games here.

Again nice match. Im not sure if I would live in one of those houses. Everyday sounds of hitting balls and moaning and screeming :D Oh and the guy in the green shirt is way to eager to poach every ball. They lost a lot of points. The funny thing is that when his teammate is receiving he just stands there at the serviceline with his rackets downwards with no interest at all. So hes just hyper on the net.

wow really nice match. And yeah the lefty is way beyond the others in skill, tehcnique and most important keeps it cool. NO panic plays. His partner was even sometimes holding him down. Like to see more of those matches!

6.0??? You mean combined 6.0 right? These guys are about 3.0-3.5 players at best….the green pant guy may as well just serve from the service line his foot faults are so far over the baseline…lol

Yeah, the mom did her best. I'm sure her son was proud. It is hard to tell what USTA rating she might have, but quite possibly a low 4.0 woman. Just that at this level of tennis, she was so outclassed. Of course the other woman was VERY good, able to handle a lot of tremendous shots at her at the net. Fun match. Yeah, the Dekalb guy was quite good, but the Riverbooke guy was phenomenal. He almost made up for his mom!

Shows how one-hit wonders can be effective in doubles. Neither 3 chim players had good backhands w/Red shirt none yet still effective team. Match extended to 3 sets due to constantly serving to their forehand side.

Ah, clay courts...a rarity in ALTA. The 50yr old team looked better suited to B1 level than A3 based off their serving IMO. 4.5 level players should have a solid 1st serve.

This match points out why you never let the weaker server start serve in the set. The girl lost both her serves while her partner only 1 because he only had 1 chance to serve. The stronger server always is the first to serve!!!

Just a thought...but maybe if you don't volley well you don't serve and volley every serve point? I'm going to have to start recording my matches to see how bad I play and where to improve. Good beat down by Riverbrooke.

Older tall guy foot-faults consistently...and too weak of a backhand to be AA...really a low A to high B player. Team must be stacking.
