Nice work, I just regret we don't see more steps at normal speed. I would have liked to know, which washer you put below lower steam bearing. I bought used triple clamp and removed older lower stem bearing which had seal washer installed, but not sure If i need to put another one. Also would be curious if you had any clearance issue between lower triple clamp and frame when steering. I might have to shave triple clamp

Looks great I have all the parts showing up this week. I spent about $2300 for all the parts. 2021 forks and new tusk front wheel. I can't wait. I have the tuned fastace forks right now. Wanted more a little more travel and other big reason is real front brakes. I think the brakes are the biggest weakness on the surron. No mater what brakes you swap to on the surron they are still MTB brakes. No where near the right amount of pad surface to stop these things when modified.

@rk-engineering10 ай бұрын
I got the 2014 SX85 fork and only one tube incl. Oil and spring is exact 3.5 kg Both tubes got the same weight. The Axle is 240 gram and crowns and steerer is about 1.5 kilo. So it is a bit under 9kg extremly light when I compare to my Stomp Pitbike Fork about 11 Kilos comlplete YCF Pitbike fork is 11,5 Kilos and the famous Engi Pitbike Fork in 800mm version 48/48mm clamp diameter is about 10,5 Kilos and I got a ultra lightweight tripple clamp set on my Engi it is 1 kilo including steerer tube.

Tuned fast ace forks from charged cycle works are great if you want to keep the surron low key and have more strength than fox 40s. I would personally go for fast ace forks over yz85 to keep geometry closer to stock and put less stress on head tube. Although for mx and big jumps I am sure the yz85 forks outperform all others.
