    I know this is a old video, but I have noise in clutch any idea what it could be .. i Forster, “t’s a rattling sound”

    It could be so many things. The ruckus has a normal “rattle” at idle. But there are so many moving parts in there - if it sounds problematic, just take the cover off and inspect while running

    Is the BEC on at all times as long as the battery is plugged in even if the ESC is off?

    Not much at all. A couple mph. But the top speed you hit is better held vs the drops in the previous mph.

    Any chance you may have place where you purchased the contra spring? I can not find it anywhere. My best guess, polini 243.072 or 243.073. Maybe other?

    It’s been so long. It’s a CN-250 Blue Contra Spring. They are out there as the CN 250 platform is copied and in a lot of products.

    @@erickhaughn2217 I did get the 21 gram. Maybe another seller has them. How much do you weight? I’m 220lbs. If you are lighter than me you can go with 22gram. If heavier you can do 20gram. You can also mix and match. Put in 20 and 22 alternating and get the same effect as 21 gram. Lots of options with the rollers.

    Thank You I've never had this ESC before and got it in a Euro truck cheap and wanted reverse turned on but no manual came with it and manuals online are in other languages this was by far the easiest thing to follow 😎👍 I appreciate that!

    great truck everything looks and sounds HEFTY, HEFTY, HEFTY except the horn, it sounds wimpy, wimpy, wimpy!!!! But it's beautiful has the works I picked the yellow king school bus kids love it they all wish there school bus was a monster truck!!!

    Congrats on the bike - I sold the bike to Anthony last year. I am the second owner from 2010-2023. I did all the mods and work on it. Anthony purchased it from me back in June :)

    Just wanted to give a big thanks for making such a thorough video on a fascinating machine. These are really unappreciated bikes... I guess the poor sales figures makes that obvious... but I'd suggest it was ahead of its time.

    The main spring, is that the polini part # 243.072? You able to find this in the USA? Seems I can only find it in Europe.

    I do not. Sadly this bike was hit “with me on it” by a Volvo in 2007 and totaled. I walked always just scuffed up a bit. I used the insurance money to get another bike.

    I got one in 1985 and it's a very nice kit. I remember it was well made, weighed a ton and it would roll quite easily. Very tight radio box. I built The Hornet several months after WW and it was much easier. NIB kits are selling for a fortune now on the net and good used ones are expensive too. They should have re released this its much nicer than WW2.

    I got really into the hobby around 1988 - by then - these were harder to find and not cheap - my first kit was a knock off hornet. I wanted one of these original wild willys forever. I finally got this one and finished building it semi new. I love it

    @@KMJ187 I paid $180 (Australian) kit only in 1985. Mine was the same as yours - LWB. Installed the JR Propo tilt stick RC system - the trigger type were an extra $100 then and were the minority. It is a nice kit and I really like the look of it from the side - the chassis under the body.

    @@Funco1979 my first kit was an academy minicraft lazer. It was a hornet close $49.99 usa. Towerhobbies had a combo for $99.99 with the kit - pistol radio - battery back -12v charger. $100 total was awesome and had all I needed to get started on the cheap

    @@Funco1979 it did have a 540 motor. It was an exact hornet clone. If you watch my grasshopper video I have a minicraft laser in the video. I have found two on eBay new in the box in the last 20 years.

    I don’t have the part numbers. Was so many years ago. Mallossi Clutch Springs for the CN250. And Polini Contra Spring (Blue) for the CN250.

    NO WAY! I literally own a Minicraft Lazer myself. I could never figure out what it was and assumed it was a World Engines Rockbuster with weird pink dampers and a black bumper (rockbusters came with blue dampers and yellow bumpers). Now to find a body...

    Bought my 06 new off the showroom floor. I've had motorcycles my entire adult life. I did the big cruiser thing, the sport bike thing, the Harley thing and the dirt bike thing. I was at the point where I just wanted to ride and not work hard at it. I'm 71 now, and I do believe the ease of riding this beast has extended my riding years. I added a windshield, did the jet change and slider change a few years back and it certainly has affected my mpg....because it's just SO DAMN FUN to roll the gas on!!!

    It’s the original windscreen from Yamaha. I added a MRA universal second screen (had to drill holes and bolt it on) but the tall screen is the one the bike comes with. It’s like $270 - not cheap

    I hated the mechanical speed control on my Kyosho Javelin. I upgraded to an electronic speed control in no time. I melted Tamiya plugs left and right using 14 and 13 turn high power brushed motors to propel that sucker at amazing speeds. Back then lol I still have it and the brushed motor which works, new brushes and a clean of the stator and I am golden.

    I have a 2006 Big Ruckus that I bought new. It has less than 15K miles on it. I added a windshield to it. It's always been garaged. I'm seriously considering selling it because as you can tell by the mileage, I just don't use it enough and the scooter has aged better than I have. Curious if you've sold yours and if so, how much you sold it for?

    I got $3500 - not bad. Even though she was amazingly clean - she did have 25k miles. I purchased the bike in 2010 for $3200 with 5k miles on it.

    With this work without the sensor cable? My tamiya motor TBLM02-S wont spin on brushless mode with the TBLE02-s ESC.

    As I recall - this ESC will only run sensored brushless or brushed motors. It won't run sebsorless brushed.

    @@KMJ187 Wow thanks, I wasnt expecting a reply lol. I have the brushless sensored motor but dont have the cable. I just ordered some so hopefully that will get the thing spinning,. If not I just ordered the hobbywing quickrun 60BL ESC. I heard you need the fan for the tble-02s esc and you cant find them anymore.....

    @@ryanbowen7831 yeah brushless are not like brushed - brushed just puts power to the magnets. Brushless sensors the computer needs to read the sensor and rotor position to spin the motor. No sensor cable and the computer cannot read the motor

    I like everything on it but the wheels. I like the chrome wheels that are an option. I am doing the silver metal arms and knuckles, upgraded tie rods, the alloy wheelie bar, front and rear shock towers, full bearings, upgraded drive shafts and front YR bumper. Love these little crazy trucks. Slow but so much fun. Went with orange metal on the shock towers and a few bits and I am going to paint the body Orange! Orange. Oh and the servo protector and motor protector in blue Tamiya. Its gonna rock!

    Question on the Noise / Sound device -> looked it up and it indicates it needs to pull power from the battery or have a power source. How did you solve for this and what parts did you use? Asking as I have a box standard ESC with one Tamiya battery connector only.

    You just solder a extra lead positive and negative to the battery connector. It will pull from the battery and not effect the esc or performance.

    MPD DC used to ride Vespas. Not sure how long ago. Looks like they're getting rid of their Rebels too on GovDeals. I like the section of Rock Creek/Beach Drive north of Tilden esp. where it can take you out to the MPD stables and Military Rd. If you ever get a chance to take the North Road in the Zoo which ends back of Adams Morgan that's a cool little road too. Above Key Bridge the GW Pkwy is just too nuts with the SUVs.
