Wow i had never seen Selena so distraught before and I’ve watched tons of footage of her. This three minute video really f me up especially when you know what she was going through and what would come a few weeks later. Rest in Peace Selena ❤️you went down in history as the greatest latina singer/entertainer of all time and your potential was limitless you just didn’t had the chance to reach your peak. 29 years later & your legacy couldn’t be stronger and people like myself who were babies or not even born at the time of your passing are discovering you every day. I know you’re proud of yourself ❤️Thank you for everything ❤️

After seeing the crime scene photos... all I can think of is that same purse laying on the ground. She was in such a panic to get help she dropped everything she was carrying, even her purse to get away. ❤

You could see & almost feel the stress that YS was causing her. At 1:22, she drops her gaze & she seems preoccupied -- she also didn't really know the name of the function she was there for either, which is definitely not like her at all. We all now know why, but she tried her best to hide it, but with hindsight always being 20/20, it was having an effect on her right here, it seems to me. 😢Bless her beautiful soul, though. My heart breaks for her, knowing now what was going to happen in just 13 days from this. 💔 But, she's still a role model for the role models of today, & that's a fact. She's the epitome of beautiful; inside & out.. & a timeless icon! 💜

Les comparto. Yo la vi a Selena, en un baile, en el Lakeland Civic Center, Lakeland, Florida, en Nov/Dec., 1994. Yo no conocía de ella. En estos tiemps a mis 16 años, escuchaba más música en inglés, en EEUU. Algún primo me pidió que fuera con todos los primos juntos, a requerimiento de nuestros padres. (Van todos juntos, o ninguno va) Fuimos cómo unos 6 primos. Cuando llegamos, estaba tocando una banda. Quien sabe quién era. Y terminaron. Después de unos minutos, comenzó ella a cantar. La gente se volvio loca, cómo yo no habia visto. Me tomó por completa sorpresa, pense que estaban peleando. Pero lo extraño era que corrian hacía en frente, y no a la salidas. Se subían arriba de las mesas. Me asustó, nunca había visto pasar eso. Me cautivó, me impactó Selena.. Ya después la gente se puso a bailar y abrieron paso, yo pasé a verla, en frente. Otra cosa que me impactó era que hablaba inglés! Eso era algo diferentes para mí, No sabía que era de EEUU. Otra cosa era que había un gringo vaquero (cowboy) que no hablaba español, y fue a verla. Eso también era muy diferente. En Florida en esos tiempos los mexicano/latino era más separado de la cultura gringa. Lo subió y le cantó, "Tú Qué Creías". Mi mamá me dijo que volvió a Florida. Mi mamá fue a ver la en Feb/Marzo, 1995. Vino a Palmeto, Florida o a la feria del estado (Hillsborough State Fair Grounds).

Selena was becoming a powerful brand. In 1995 was going to be a super busy year for her. Her English album, her new Spanish album. A telenovela in Mexico and a new movie in Hollywood. 2 new boutiques, 1 in Mexico and another in Puerto Rico. The launch of her perfume in Mexico. the tours for her English and Spanish albums. Like idk how she would have been able to do all that.
