I heard the news of the passing of His Whiteness by none other than Pierre Robert. Pierre knows literally nothing about any sports but knew the importance of the loss for "the boys in blue" as he broadcast the news.

Gross how Sanborn's Hollywood spray blasts out. Omar Hakim's shuffle is tolerably ignorable. Good as you can get for TV. Grateful for this footage.

I left work for Whitey's Funeral and spent the night at the Bank after the game against the Padres for Harry's Funeral. My childhood finally ended at the age of 41 when we lost Harry. Great Memories and it still gets me whenever I think about or see videos like this one. Thank You for some of the Greatest Memories of my life and RIP Fellas.

My grandmother told me about this tragedy again and again. She was a young woman at the time of the fire. We must never forget. We cannot allow such greed to overcome us.

I can’t get enough of this clip. The way she growls those lyrics as she sings about her cheating man is timeless. I was born a few years after this concert and can appreciate greatness. Yes Big MayBelle, I ain’t mad at you😊.

I grew up listening to his music. My father was a huge fan of his and turned me and my younger sister on to Clyde"s wonderful music. There we were, two teenagers singing Without Love, Money Honey, Seven Days, Such A Night, Treaure Of Love, etc.I fell in love with his handsome face on that album cover as shown above. He had the biggest smile on his gorgeous face I remember reading his obituary a few years earlier and feeling so sad afterwards. I know that he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame but he deserves to be remembered for his contribution to music by everyone. RIP Clyde McPhatter.🌹
