AFAIK by law they are obliged to give you 2 year warranty on selling second hand car/bike so they try to compensate. I'm looking for scram 411 now, apart from not having them (used) near my location, the prices are similar to what they wanted for your bike. Second thing is how they treat you, at least where I went, they might have about 500 to 1k form a bike and yet they treat you as a piece of crap, I mean lady at the bakery knows more about what she's selling the that guy working at RE dealers where I live.

Def like the shads. On the Himmy am using Roku straps and a 50l roll bag. Bit el rougho but will see how it goes. P.s got the Givi engine bars which are quality. I def think the Royal Enfield boxes are a bit "utilitarian".

Agree. Personally I don't use a mobile interface to record or have the mobile on the handle bars. Too distracting for me. I just press the remote camera button near my thumb, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. No problem just ride and try again another day. Ride safe👍

Absolutely right. Driving/riding without due care and attention? Whichever, it really needs all your concentration.That goes for skiing too, ask my wife. She is currently lying in a hospital bed following a nasty fall after taking a phone call on the piest. Broken right arm which required a three hour operation to fit metal plates and, a broken right leg which will be pinned next week. Nice one Claudia. Ride defensively, remember, on two wheels you become invisible!

bought the Astral Blue last August, and have since fitted craash bars, mid position folding pegs, touring seat and screen (with an extender on top), done 2300 miles like sitting in my garden on a windy afternoon in the Scottish Highlands, returned to biking after 21 years superb, it was the heritage, styling and bombproof simplicity that sold it to me, i looked at Harley 880, Yamaha 950, and Kawasaki VN900 but the RESM stole my heart and made perfect sense in my engineers head! absolutely no regrets! Even had it it for 40 mile run on Christmas morning round the outskirts of Inverness and Ross shire😂😂😂

Yes it’s a simple but very effective motorcycle and incredibly smooth. The touring seat on my Celestial is superb and for cruising about it’s excellent. Enjoy your motorcycle, luckily it’s a bit warmer here in Spain 🇪🇸 👍

The mic cost €2.50 from Ali express and sometimes it’s ok others it’s bloody awful, I am looking at alternatives. The whole idea is to run the channel as cheaply as possible, I am not making videos to make a living I don’t need that, I enjoy the technology side of it and seeing what I can turn out. If you can arrange a flight in a fighter jet let me know a big bucket list thing of mine. Thanks for watching and the comment it is appreciated. 👍

You're spot on, I live in Murcia, they are happy to sell you a new Enfield but just dont want your old one. I had a classic 500 and sold it after a few years, part exchanged it for a benelli scrambler. That was in 2018. Now they are still selling for the same price in 2023. I have a 21 Himalayan I am trying to part exchange for a meteor 650 not a chance of getting a quote from motos matilla or intruder Murcia. Its a joke. RE are just not looking after customers. Maybe time for a change of manufacturer

I assume the trade in price is ridiculous around €2000 a complete joke. I loved the look of the Meteor and thought I could cope with the lack of performance, but no way a motorcycle should for me be exciting. I got an extra €750 trade in by dealing with Moto restreno in Alicante a great place to deal with and a large selection of 2nd hand nearly new bikes. I ended up with a CF moto CLX heritage 75bhp and €5495 1700 kms 2022. It a world apart from the Enfield as it actually overtakes. I would look at other brands and if you want to have a chat over a coffee let me know.

Currently I riding a 2018 Vstrom adventure sport full luggage with the wife. The Himalayan is a great bike it will do 130kph 2 up but I don't need 2 adventure bikes. Was looking at the 650 meteor for a toy to play with as I have just sold a 1500 vl intruder we have had 21 years today through lack of using it. Yes a coffee sounds great at some point. I have loads of bike vids on my YT channel, not a plug just out of interest

The nice thing about the Super Meteor 650 is that it is an honest bike. It is not trying to be something else or copy another brand. Royal Enfield has its own history to draw from and does not need to apologize for anything. I love that the CEO of the company rides his own products and encourages his workers as well. The spirit and motorcycle ethos is alive and well and I think it will propel them successfully into the world market. I bought my Super Meteor last month and simply love the basic and honest character along with technological improvements such as EFI, ABS and suspension upgrades. Carry on Enfield, you are on the right path.

Firstly I presume this bike is run in otherwise it will not perform to it's full potential. You can build engines for speed / horsepower which means high compression & max horsepower at high rpm. Or you can build an engine to rev low with low compression with the focus being more on torque & longevity. It's ;a compromise. Royal Enfield have a reputation for build strong/ reliable & long lasting motorcycles hence with this J series engine & the 350 as well as the 500cc before it are long stroke motors which means the stroke measurement is bigger than the bore measurement which makes it long stroke. This produces a thumping single with loads of torque. I remember passing three BMW 1200 cc touring bikes over the hills on my Himalayan (again long stroke motor). Torque can out perform horsepower provided you have good handling package & reasonable brakes. Cruising on my Himalayan was comfortable all day at 80-90 kph. I always thought the Himalayan lacked some power until I drove a brand new Tractor at work which could manage just 30 kph comfortably. I learned a new appreciation for speed & it was almost a religious experience seeing the world at 30 kph (I didn't miss much of the scenery for a start). The Himalayan used to hold it's speed of 90 kph regardless of wind & I find it difficult to believe that this one wouldn't either but perhaps he needs to change down a gear. I also have a MotoGuzzi 750 Breva V twin but of coarse you will always have more power with a twin cylinder. I rode a Meteor in town on a major road for a test ride & I was super impressed with it's power & acceleration. It was also a fantastically comfortable bike. 120 kph on the Himalayan was pretty much flat out. I think it's more about the riding experience than how fast you go so perhaps stick to the B roads if you're uncomfortable riding it on the motorways. They drive like lunatics in the UK. I can remember being passed at 70 mph & we were in a V8 rover plus it was raining. If that's what you want to do then get the super Meteor but it will weigh significantly more & I doubt it would be up to much going off road whereas the 350 will handle some rough stuff with it's nice torquey engine & liteweight.

Soooo... you base your depreciation on how much a dealer would pay for it. Which he is inclined to pay you as low as he can, without considering the good condition of the bike, accessories, etc. That is a foolish way to look into depreciation. And it seems like you're just cherry picking. A non biker person would probably give you nothing for the bike, does that mean it's depreciated by 100%? Go to the free market, your bike in your condition would most likely go for 3500+

No one likes to say this about the meteor because the majority are too scared of not getting test rides, I don’t care better to let people know the truth. I will have a video soon out about the CF 700 CLX what a bike. Great price and well equipped and no stupid valve clearance checks all the time, 24,000 kms.

Royal Enfield have a reputation for build strong/ reliable & long lasting motorcycles hence with this J series engine & the 350 as well as the 500cc before it are long stroke motors which means the stroke measurement is bigger than the bore measurement which makes it long stroke. This produces a thumping single with loads of torque. I remember passing three BMW 1200 cc touring bikes over the hills on my Himalayan (again long stroke motor). Torque can out perform horsepower provided you have good handling package & reasonable brakes. Cruising on my Himalayan was comfortable all day at 80-90 kph. I always thought the Himalayan lacked some power until I drove a brand new Tractor at work which could manage just 30 kph comfortably. I learned a new appreciation for speed & it was almost a religious experience seeing the world at 30 kph (I didn't miss much of the scenery for a start). The Himalayan used to hold it's speed of 90 kph regardless of wind & I find it difficult to believe that this one wouldn't either but perhaps he needs to change down a gear. I also have a MotoGuzzi 750 Breva V twin but of coarse you will always have more power with a twin cylinder. I rode a Meteor in town on a major road for a test ride & I was super impressed with it's power & acceleration. It was also a fantastically comfortable bike. 120 kph on the Himalayan was pretty much flat out. I think it's more about the riding experience than how fast you go so perhaps stick to the B roads if you're uncomfortable riding it on the motorways. They drive like lunatics in the UK. I can remember being passed at 70 mph & we were in a V8 rover plus it was raining. If that's what you want to do then get the super Meteor but it will weigh significantly more & I doubt it would be up to much going off road whereas the 350 will handle some rough stuff with it's nice torquey engine & liteweight.

Soooo... you base your depreciation on how much a dealer would pay for it. Which he is inclined to pay you as low as he can, without considering the good condition of the bike, accessories, etc. That is a foolish way to look into depreciation. And it seems like you're just cherry picking. A non biker person would probably give you nothing for the bike, does that mean it's depreciated by 100%? Go to the free market, your bike in your condition would most likely go for 3500+
Do you go for these bikes because of the 'old' style? Moved my Meteor 350 on and replaced with a used Honda NC700, everything the RE is not! Enjoy yours!
Yes I loved the look of the Meteor ever since it was released and I still think it’s a beautiful motorcycle. The problem is the lack of power, it is dangerous.

This is what I found in uk went on motorway and the bike is gutless, looking at trading in when the speed 400 hits uk
No one likes to say this about the meteor because the majority are too scared of not getting test rides, I don’t care better to let people know the truth. I will have a video soon out about the CF 700 CLX what a bike. Great price and well equipped and no stupid valve clearance checks all the time, 24,000 kms.

CFmoto are making some good bikes, i own an 800MT and a SR450, both fantastic bikes.
First impressions are very good , great engine and I love the looks. The SR 450 reminds me of the experiences I had years ago on my RD350 LC.
What did you really expect…. Dealer has to take it in clean it, maintain it, resell it and make a profit. Not even a surprise…

just to confirm my earlier comments...just got back from a 200 mile trip..ran into strong headwinds and hills..bike didn't let me down in any way..been riding now for over fifty years and this bike is superb.
May have been one built on a Friday afternoon I got 😆
