He declined greatly after this fight. He looked considerably slower and worse against Kevin McBride. Like almost a different person.

If you want to see the definition of Mexican Warrior, it’s Juan Manuel Marquez. If the other guy tags him his defense it to throw five or six hard combinations in return. I don’t think he knows how to clinch. He’s one ofmy favorite Mexican fighters.

He wasn't himself at all. He Seemed to be in a zombified state before the fight even started. He always stared his opponents down and intimidated them before the start. He didn't even look Williams in the eye before the fight. I watched him spar at Fourth Street Live before this fight and the body shots were so loud it was unreal. Tyson was just not himself at all here. I believe Mohammed Ali's Daughter fought on this card too this night, if I remember right.

Man Kostya Tszyu was a tough, intimidating monster in his day. One of my favorite fighters to watch ever and one of the best ever at 140. Glad he made the Hall of Fame, he deserves it!

Although Tyson had performed better in prior fights, he didn't perform sunstantially lesser so to discount Williams due to "Tyson not being in his prime". Tyson landed absolute bombs like he did to all those he beat previously. His movement was still great, still somewhat comparable to his prime. If anything, I'd say what appears to be a knee injury was likely the primary factor to this loss. From that point I notice a significant change in his movement. And also, Williams took Tyson's bombs like a champion, and gave a hell of a lot back. Perhaps the ref stopped the fight too early, maybe Tyson had the look of a defeated man when he was knocked down. I don't know the specifics. But one thing is for sure, British fighters give a good fight. Bruno wobbled a prime Tyson, Williams gave as good as he got, and Lewis gave a masterclass (admittedly when Tyson was on his way out). I imagine Tyson has a lot of respect for the London boxing scene.

I'm worry. A 38 year old Tyson got knocked out by a nobody 20 years ago, now an almost 60 year old Mike is getting in the ring with a 20 something guy that hits like a mule and much much faster than Williams. Madness. Just madness. And so unnecessary.
