Stedemon south sea, but with the thumb disc from the Frida.
Great video review! I lean towards tanto blades. Is the handle uncomfortable in the hand?
Comfortable & Neutral!
I know you like kwaikens, and the suprlativ tyrant looks cool not quite a kwaiken and cranes has some reate bushidos that look interesting. Thanks OG.
Two designs with tons of potential. Unfortunately the superlativ is front flipper only and the Bushido is a micro knife.
I want one, awesome knife! Trellis knives are awesome!😂
Just ordered one
Fantastic Blade, and hope you're happy with your choice! 🙏🗡️👊
@@OGBladeReviews I looked at ALL of the blades on Tim's website. Sadly, a good bit are sold out. This knife was one of the more expensive knives but I bought it for myself for my 40th birthday. If the world falls apart (ww3/civil war) I'm sure this will serve me nicely and if not, I'm sure this will be great for camping/backpacking and homesteading. Thanks for making one of the best videos about this blade. It helped make my final decision. I'm sure this will be a cherished blade and one of my go-to's.
Oooo I'm tempted to buy and do some polishing on the scales similar to Original Goat style scales.
Definitely could be done, but I like this look, personally.....
I’m not a knife guy…at all (I owned a Kershaw once) but I just bought this exact knife. Thanks for the review
Great choice! You're sure to enjoy it!
Cool stuff Dave. I have the second OG run, in 3v that came with the absolutely useless leather sheath. Fortunately I had a buddy willing to part with his kydex sheath. I carry it canted with a thin teklok.
Great stuff, will. I have an option for carrying the OG version in a horizontal leather pouch from Amazon that actually works extremely well and is canted.... 👍🗡️
@@OGBladeReviews Cool. I generally use a lot of kydex, since I'm usually sweating a lot.
I have two, they’re solid. Price is fair IMO.
If i were to get into these new utility blades, this would be the one i would get.
Excellent..got to have kinda thing..good stuff OG..thanks for sharing! 😎👊🏻
Thanks for watching!
I started collecting RMJ Tactical last year, and was thinking about getting this one. Best Tomahawks, and fix blades in the world.
That AB looks.....perfect 😮. I would carry it daily. Greg Moffatt and TKell have been my 2023 fixed blades favorites
Yes, it's small but holds big. Very useable fixie! 👍🗡️👊
I have the same version and it’s my new favorite little toy haha
Fer real! 👊🗡️👍
Just got the green version took a while to get to me but it's definitely worth it
🗡️👊🗡️
Just got mine in the mail a few days ago and love it! Handed it to my fiancé and she thought it was backwards haha
😂🗡️👊
One thing that I always think about when I see these crossbar-lock knives is that tiny spring that holds the bar in place. It seems to me that a liner lock etc. is less prone to fail at some point vs. having this little spring snap. I don't know if my perception is correct. I also heard that SOG/GSM customer service is terrible, so idk about getting some spare springs.
This one's been in the collection for quite a while as indicated by the age of this review. While I don't carry it regularly or heavily, the spring hasn't given up yet, however many Benchmade owners have complained about the Omega springs breaking but replacements are easily had. Other manufacturers provide additional springs in the box for that just-in-case moment! 🗡️😁👊
Got my black Micarta today. Over-delivered! Nasty in concept, demure in presentation. My own Gentleman's Disembowler! 🤭
very NICE. ❤ Unfortunately it's hard to find in Germany
You'll need to order it directly from the maker in the US. Tkellknives.com
@@OGBladeReviews I will probably do that then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nice review. I just went out to their site and ordered one.
Hope you enjoy it!
Stopped right there for China made
Good fer U! 👍
Excellent edc..gonna pull the trigger on this one..great review OG thanks for sharing.😎👊🏻
Thank you sir! Thanks for watching 👍🗡️👍
love the Micarta. fit and finish is always excellent with Trivisa. Sitivien ST160 ;-)
This is the blade I was hoping the Sheildon Scythe would be. I've had mine for about a month and I love it. I also just got the Pinkerton Inversion, and I REALLY love it!
Hard to keep up on all these new knives OG ..amazing builds..this one is no exception..thanks as always..😎👊🏻
Glad you like it! Cheers! 👍🗡️👊
If you like this, check out the Svord Von Tempsky Bowie! 11 inches of blade, so nice I had to get it twice!
Yes, that's a nice replica Bowie! New Zealand made us interesting! This TFW is hammer forged D2/1095 blend. Hand carved handle of ironwood. Thanks for watching!
Finally, finally grabbed me a natural clear gen iii tonight after missing it multiple times. Not usually into OTS autos but this one is pretty cool.
Congrats! 👍🗡️👊
Gonna order one with Black G10 Handle and stonewashed blade. Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️👊
Looks awesome! Great video 👍
Where's the details?
In the description. Steel is 14c28N, the handle is Micarta, and the green handled version is currently available on Amazon if you look it up by name
How do you like this one compared to the Socom Elite? Which one do you like better? Thanks in advance.
The choice is really a matter of size. The Socom being 4 in and this one being roughly three and a half inches. The size should take care of most chores of an EDC nature with great ease and the blade comes through extremely sharp!
I’ll just buy both. 🤣 I think a carbon fiber inlay would look very classy on this knife.
Definitely, if you can get it, or have it modded! 👍🗡️👊
Holy 😮 This blade shape
From their website (you have to find a model with the Q&A actually giving the info), their new Damascus is "10Cr15CoMov in core with 316 and 5Cr15Mov in layers". Both the Praxis and Vision have the same answer. They changed to this mix about 18 months ago.
Thanks! I remembered the 10 CR layer but forgot about the five CR layer. I recall reading about this last year so pretty much in line with what you're saying. 👍
I haven't bought a CIVIVI in awhile but I may have to pick one of these up. I completely agree with your perspective on lock-stick on button locks. Absolute worst case you can use some polishing compound on a cotton swab to polish the plunger a bit, which usually smooths things out. I use Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish, which is a paste.
Wow. This design is awesome. Love this version too. Think they did another knife like this. Maybe the vision fg? With the white and damsacus. Love it
Yup, I showed the Sentinel Strike for compare in this vid. Has the same Damascus blade. 👍🗡️
Great video review 👍! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the inspiration!!! 👍🗡️👊
Pretty design
Niceeeee
Ordered from Ironfly, taking forever and too long, would recommend ordering from white mountain and other places. Such a great looking knife. Can't wait to get it! Great video and YOLO- You Only Live Once
Best wishes with the knife and thanks for the acronym meaning. 👍. Yup, White Mountain is the way to go!
Hey. The rubbing is a good sign and shows the tolerances are thight. It reminds me of the Roxy 4. I have the Syperfly and I am so impressed with it. It's a bit bigger and just overall great! Thanks for the video. Greetings as always 😊
YOLO = you only live once
Thanks! I did discover that after the post. My only issue with the statement is that I believe in reincarnation.... 😀🗡️👊
I like it! Great video 📹 review!
Thanks for watching! 👊🗡️👍
killer blades brother!! i still have the ironfly you gave Bob&that he gave me. drop shut smooth.
That's Cool! Forgot where that one went. 👍🗡️👍
My kind of blade shape right there. And I do love a crowned spine
Nice one OG..never heard of these..they got thegoods..thanks again..😎👊🏻
Reminds me a lot of the B'yond EDC Garra
A bit, in height of blade, and without the raptor claw shape.... 👊🗡️👍
Omg even thicker than I thought yea this might have to end up on my desk
Fook why dont they make it 4 inch
I know I'm asking too much for these times but ...knife companies use to contour all of their knife handles, no matter what they sold for...but to speed up manufacturing and to cut down on costs, they all seem to go with the thin, flat, slab sided scales. And we've been duped/tricked into going along with it. So...nice knife, beautiful blade...but.
Sure, contouring adds to the appeal of a knife, but at the same time many knife collectors and owners are asking for handles that are a half inch or under, so the flat slabs are one way to achieve that goal for those pressing that issue....
Matches nice with the vision fg I have 🎉
Same here... 👍🗡️👊
