  For a short classic anime I'll say watch death note .. it has 36 episodes and is an amazing watch like as it's short story progresses faster, making it a show with good pacing.. also it's kind of a thriller show so will keep you hooked for what's next

  it has 700 episodes including filler, part1 has like 220 episodes where 90 episodes are filler and part2 (shippuden) has about 200 filler episodes from 500 episodes, i hope they'll make a kai version like DBZ so that a choice will be there for those who see it as too long to even approach it
