I was an Uber driver and picked up and dropped off at The Dominion a few times. The most notable trip was picking up Kawhi Leonard from the airport and dropping him off at The Dominion. This was in January right before he was traded to Toronto. I picked him up at about 1:30 am from Signature at the airport. He was pretty quiet throughout the entire trip. Sad thing is he didn't even tip.
Hey, Living in Austin Texas. Your Video is perfectly SEO optimize, Perfect Thumbnail design, But your video Marketing is very weak. This reason you cannot achieve your target audience on your videos. So I suggest you will focus on your video marketing. If you need any suggestion You need just ask question??
America is just getting crowded
Haha! You’re not wrong. The whole world is way past its population limit if we’re being totally honest.
We moved to Bastrop because of the small town feel while maintaining the proximity to Austin and the airport. Wonderful place to live.
I love hearing this! Which part of Bastrop?
I left 8 years ago. Liberal pee hole
So, they are here part-time. Typical couple that travel for months?$120 electric not in summer, $120 gas. Compare to California without Austin summers. Older house in Cali. Why interview part-timers? O health insurance costs. Concierge health care, lol. Auto Insurance in Austin is not cheap. What about rent or mortgage? Higher end in Texas.
What makes you say that they’re part time? They live and work in Austin and then travel over a weekend or two.
Some thoughts from a long-time Austinite: You can buy a house if you have $200,000 cash down. Fact. Restaurants are the same price as in any big city. Austin's overcrowded. Any music not in a small club is $100 minimum, unlike in the old days. Now you have to pay to park everywhere. You have to stand in long lines to get barbecue Traffic is good compared to California? That's what you compare it to? It's bad. Most importantly, the friendly, cool vibe is being ruined by transplants who want to change the culture, rather than blend in. Lots of concrete now, and the electric utilities are extremely high. So many more people scowling rather than smiling. Manners are no longer a thing here for a high percentage of transplants. The cost of living is very high. All of the artists A lot of artists and musicians who made Austin cool are leaving or have already left due to the high cost of living. Many old businesses that had character and uniqueness are being evicted by speculators and carpetbaggers. You can barely see the beautiful sky downtown or our Capitol. The parks and lakes are overcrowded, as is pretty much any event. Free events exist but are rare now. Too many people and crime is up.
Austin use to be nice in the 80s. To many liberals there now.
I will be heading to Dallas as soon as possible. I am in my 15th year in Austin and yeah. 100% true. All of this is accurate.
Dallas is boring AF.
Austin used to be a great city, all the new people from out of state are rude and they need to leave. The charm of Austin is gone.
Houston remains the best.
Austin is still small in my opinion . I think its barely about 1 millon people. The traffic isn’t bad. Compared to larger cities. But I have lived in Larger cities like Houston and LA. Its better than sitting in traffic for 5 hours. But yes very very hot and humid.
Why are people leaving Austin? As an ex-resident of Austin I can tell you there is only one answer: Democrats in power.
That’s the only reason why people are leaving Austin ?
Scofield Farms? Sounds more like "Super Fantastic!" 😆 (at least, aside from the schools, which for me would honestly be a pretty big deal-breaker)
Hahaha 😆 I know what you mean, schools are so so important for so many families. 🏫
Sounds lovely!
It’s a wonderful hidden treasure 🩵
Gawd I miss the city I grew up in. Getting around on the city bus for a dollar a day, free activities everywhere. We didn't pay for the trail of lights or the botanical gardens. Watering holes had water! Good food wasn't over priced. People were friendly and welcoming. 6th street was safe and so much fun! There was just a vibe to the city that is completely lost.
Great video. I walked a client’s dog for years in Zilker. It was very sad how the neighborhood changed, old houses were torn down…cookie cutter duplexes and fourplexes took their place. I’ve been here since ‘04, my girlfriend and I are planning on moving in the next few years.
Nice to see a well presented and shot 'explore' video. I'm located in the UK, but my Texan girlfriend & I discovered Bastrop in May and totally fell in love with the small town feel. It felt like home and we are both sure it will be one day. Thank you for your two excellent videos.
I’m so glad to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience in Bastrop. It really is such a cool spot! 😊😊 Thanks so much for the kind words and support!
Austin sucks
Not as much as yo mama
@@AustinTX lmao. AUSTIN sucks
Named after one of the founding fathers of one of the greatest Free, Constitutional Republics in the history of the world. Full of freedom hating marxists.
wow, really good information
Thank you! We put so much love into this video !
@@AustinTX Tnx ma'am, Can I suggest grow Your KZread channel?
Part of it is: people didn't necessarily choose Austin, large firms choose it as a Texas location that would be acceptable to "talented" employees. Highly paid, creative types who want big city, college town amenities usually with outdoor activities. (California tech firms really didn't rush to Amarillo, Lubbock or Wichita Falls. A Texas site had to be somewhat Ann Arbor, Palo Alto or even Brooklyn like.) Transplants who were willing to try Austin because of UT and image might be disappointed. And when those firms started to lay people off, there was just no reason to stay.
Your welcome to move to Texas if you like high rents, horrible traffic with horrible drivers , all year round allergies and very hot weather
I used to live in Woodridge or Northridge subdvision not too far away from there. Never knew AH was as upscale as i saw in a driving through video last week. Beautiful Houses, well maintained yards and lawns. Really cool for San Antonio ! 1955 through 1959. Moved to Houston and hated living there ! Too big !
I'm really glad we've got Elon and his companies with us in Texas!
If Property taxes from the City had went up so how come people keep electing city politicians that is raising up their taxes? Stop electing local leaders who think that they can tax their way out of city issues.
Bastrop sounds special 😊
It is! You should Bastrop in and see 😃
😎👍
Longtime Austinite here. Agree with everything you said. One by one, the cool “Austiny” places are being replaced by soulless “real estate developments.” And it’s true that there has always been an undercurrent vibe that avoids growth. The moniker “Live Music Capital of the World” is no longer true. SXSW and ACL are echoes of another time. We can hope that some of the quirkiness survives in the new places that being created. Austin Playhouse, Q2 stadium, and Rock Rose at the Domain are all steps in the right direction…
Good video but what's going on with your sound? Was the mic not recording?
At what point? Audio is good on my end
It sounds like the kind of audio you would get out of a camera instead of a lapel mic. I could be wrong. It could just be the echoes in the room. It could be you just need some acoustic foam around you.
I have been in the Austin area since 74. Liberal leadership has destroyed this once clean and welcoming city. Today its a dirty city and a homeless haven.
Yeah, I went to the University of Houston, there are endless Asians that live in Houston. So I can see what they have a Chinatown section. In Austin, unless I go to an Asian buffet, I almost never see Asians here in Austin.
You guys look perfect together !!!
Thank God, we finally dropped out of the top five places to live !!!!!!
I really like that house you sold.
I can’t stand when my GPS doesn’t know where the hell I’m at.
The Galleria has a little bit of upscale feel to it.
Round Rock like Pflugerville is a dump. The schools are below avg and these two cities have gone downhill over the past twenty years.
Would love to know what town you live in
@@AustinTX Where do you live?
Central
Yeah they moved there and Fd it up and now they want out take your liberal ass back to Cal.
Maybe, if I ever retire someday, I'll give Bastrop some serious consideration 👍
You said it dropped from #1 to #40 yeah it dropped cos everybody and they momma moving here!! All of those California people making austin look more and more like California!! When truth be told I really just wish they'd stay the over there with all of those liberal A$$ beliefs!! And if you ask am I'm mad 😠 OF COURSE I AM!!! don't bring all if flower child stuff over here. We like our guns in TEXAS!! YALL COME OVER HERE TRYING TO CHANGE SH$$!! If you don't like guns stay in CALIFORNIA!!
There's no where else but sweet san Antonio Texas, the alamo city, military city u s.a , river city, the heavy metal rock capital of the u.s.a ur home away from home😊 the number 1 tourist city in texas
I'm a conservative and I work down there in Austin building log houses for these rich bastards them b****** that they are so lost in their get woke bulshit it's unreal I mean you couldn't even you didn't have to wear a mask once you sit down at a pizza place but you had to wear the mask to get to the seat I mean it's so stupid I mean the idiotic of these people and they're like that all over the place Austin deserves yes and I'm from I'm from Texas I'm from the oldest town in Texas

Thanks Leo!
They got a cool State Park 🏞️ ✌️
I’ve been there 1 million times and I didn’t even know they had a state park.
You ever been to Buescher State Park right down the road?
Love it!

A moving ground for libtards,up here in lubbock we laugh about austin all the time.and BTW texas has always been hot! Its hot everywhere 🤣
We love Austin! ❤
Yeah, me too 😊😊😊
thank you for the information and the opinion on the Austin area
I left Austin in January after living there for more than ten years, it took me a month to shake that always looking over my shoulder and on guard feeling. Austin is just unsafe. Between the drug zombies, the cops that barely do their jobs, the heat, the bugs, the cost, the traffic and the politicians who would let everyone die just to score some culture war points..... Austin is 100 percent not worth it and I wish I could get that time back.
Where were you living that you felt so unsafe?
@@AustinTX 78704. Druggie zombie tried to follow me into my house one afternoon after I took out my trash. Million dollar homes on my block and I get panhandled inside my car as I tried to pull out of my driveway. Glad I left.
