  had to go and watch this despite having long cleared it because im just now picking up tanking and i was so confused on who or what to do when there are 3 adds lol but i am glad i was doing the right thing picking up one of the "snakes" and having the other tank pick the other

  Your guides are super helpful, and they've been saving my ass since I returned after a decade hiatus (quit shortly before Levi release lmao.) I watch a few times and write down the important mechanics, then tape it to the side of my monitor. It's worked really well, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a fight-by-fight reminder.

  How do you have the boss info in the top right?

  You target the boss then right-click (or press square/X on your controller) and a pop-up menu will come up on the boss. Scroll down and select "Focus Target". This will bring up the focus target information. If you go into your HUD Layout screen (located in the System menu) and select the Focus Target Bar in the dropdown menu, you can resize and reposition the Focus Target Bar to be where you'd like it. And I like to have it in the top right part of the screen next to my class gauges.

  I went into this trial blind yesterday and Good King Moogle Mog, ever the pushover, was in a bodybag in less than 5 minutes. I was like "How do you like them Gysahls, kupo!?". I bet the original version was designed to troll players who just finished the main story and feel like they're the hottest shit in Eorzea and then these guys come along and go "Time to humble you, kupo!"

  Hmmm that's the first boss... A few questions. 1. What class are you playing? (I'm going to assume you're playing a tank and that you have your job stone) 2. What is happening to you before you die? (It could be that you're getting too much poison and the damage over time inflicted on you can lead into my next point) 3. Have you updated your gear before going into the dungeon? (This is pretty important because having updated gear can definitely help to give you more health)

  So, no. You don't have your job stone. If you head to the Gladiator guild in Ul'dah, you should have another quest that you can accept when you reach level 30. It is the quest directly after "The Rematch" and it will be called "Paladin's Pledge". This is the quest that you will need to complete to unlock your upgraded class from Gladiator to Paladin. You must go back and do your extra class quests and job quests as you get to unlock more of your kit as some abilities you can only learn by completing your class/job quests. If you have only been doing the MSQs, then you probably haven't upgraded much of your gear which won't be helping your case to give you enough health to stay alive. Head to Costa Del Sol (X: 30.7, Y: 31.2) and speak with the Merchant & Mender. There you will be able to buy gear that will be level 32. If you get the stuff that focuses on Vitality and Strength it will be better for you. It should cost 16,373 gil to get all 5 pieces from this vendor. And if you're running with the Duty Support system and this still doesn't help, then you're either collecting too many poison stacks from the mobs and the conjurer can't remove them from you fast enough or there is something else going wrong like getting too many poison stacks.

  The quest is not from Mylla. It's from another NPC called Lulutsu. If you look around on your map, there should be another blue quest icon around the Gladiator area. I believe they are around (X: 9.2 Y: 11.6) these co-ordinates in the Steps of Thal.

  ARR dungeons that let you pull like 4-5 groups because why the heck not were awesome. The option was there, but with ARR skills limiting tanking and healing, along with low aoe due to TP limitations, you knew it was high risk high reward, you decided how many groups you would take based on your gear level and group skill level. Now every dungeon is the same, 2 groups easy wall to walled with aoe spam and tanks self sufficient, no healer even required. I really miss old MMO design sometimes, where the designer wasn't afraid to let players get in over their head and die, so they learned from their mistakes.

  Literally hopping into all these now and usually I wait about 5 to 10 minutes.. This popped me in and I had to watch while I played.. I felt a little lost during the cerberus fight but as a tank, I pretty much blindly attacked and took enmity, so it wasn't all bad. Although admittedly, my team went into Cerberus's stomach without me, which I'm really sorry for!

  We failed this for 1 hour today but almost got it. One healer(me) and one tank were new to this duty. I'll try again tomorrow :)

  You might be thinking of the extreme version of this fight and not the normal version to which this guide entails. Because this fight can be cleared very easily in the duty finder. Either way, good luck! The extreme version is pretty fun. It's a pity that no one likes to do it outside of a select few M.I.N.E discord groups.

  @@the_scrub You're right, it's the extreme. I did the normal version and learned NOTHING cause it is too fast and nobody explains anything lol. Same happened to every other challenge unlocked: I ask for tips and people just say "Relax it will be over soon" and I'm "okay" xD

  That's sort of the case with the older normal content of the game. People who are doing the roulettes just want to get in and get out in the fastest way possible. All of the older extremes aren't really done through the Duty Finder and the majority of people won't want to do it synced down to the level of the duty either. If it makes you feel any better, I've been going through different duties with a bunch of people and some of them say things like "Woah, I never knew about that part of the fight! I've never known that it did that!" at least 3 times per fight. Even in this video, I get something wrong. So we all learn things as we go. Don't worry about not learning anything on your first or even your second run. Learning will take time. Unfortunately because we power creep the hell out of many of the fights in the game, you won't ever see some mechanics that happened back when the content first came out, even if you do it Minimum Item Level w/ No Echo. It's just the way things are now, which is a shame.

  Wanted to let you know your simplified advice is still helping immensely 💚 Went into my first instance of this; tanks were improperly stancing, people were getting doomed without cleansing, but I sat there as my happy little dps remembering all you spoke of. Got 6 commendations cause i was ready at the tethers for Cerberus before anyone had to ask 🤘 Hope Dawntrail is treating you well and thank you again my dude

  Kugane Castle and Temple of the Fist are what I think of when I think of Stormblood. Lots of Expert Roulettes spent in those dungeons. So thematic, so fun, so Stormblood

  Kids these days don't understand how BRUTAL this fight was in 4.0 in i290 job gear. If you took ANY avoidable damage you likely died. The meteor phase I remember was so hard hitting that it killed i290 healers and casters without mitigation. Today it is still pretty tough but more because of the trickery of the thin ice and fracturing tiles than because of the raw damage
