This is the PERFECT Ronin Blade video review. It's everything I hoped an ideal review of the Game would be. The story, the weapons, the special attacks, the different custom, the music - they all merge to create a badass game which will forever be etched in my memory. Highly recommended even in 2024. Thank you so much for making this! 🙏💙

Glad to see someone giving it the time of day, given the reception wasn't all too hot when it released. Hope you do the other two games from rpg factory as well.

I love FF8. It has some of the coolest cutscenes of any FF game and some very eerie/cool moments ( being stuck drifting in space and finding the abandoned spaceship just before your oxygen runs out..) However FF8 feels EXTREMELY undercooked. Like it was rushed out massively with half finished concepts and mechanics

I pissed the guy that made me copies soo much about this game, when i accidentally ruined the cd the very next day i got it, he never made a 2nd copy, and i never played this again, but the last decade i've been dreaming with a remake of it After seeing what i missed a few years ago here, i'm glad i had tenchu to scratch the itch, and didn't get bored with this, it would ruin the fantasy

I grew up with this game. I was enchanted by the PSX demo. I loved this game so much. I really love your input on the Japanese culture. I also love Onimusha and felt both games were deeply similar. Both end bosses are kind of similar. They both have betrayal beats. There is a lot that bind them together. Samanosuke and Kotaro are really similar as protagonists. I feel they are in the same universe. Thank you for this really exhaustive and thoughtful video essays. It really brought back a real trasure from my childhood.

To echo others on here, I've watched all the retrospectives and I'm so glad you took the time and energy to make these. Tenchu was one of my favorite series from my formative years and it's so rarely talked about which is criminal considering it was the definitive Ninja experience for so long. Great work! Also fun fact, I'm quite certain Tesshu was heavily inspired by the character Bian The Assassin, the titular character portrayed by pre-Hollywood Ken Watanabe. It was quite popular in Japan and is a pretty fun series if you can find it some place (it was also remade last year apparently).

I always thought of Red as a Red Mage/Berserker class since he has the most balanced stats compared to everyone in the party. (Also with the info that the name he was given is Red XIII, with M being the 13th letter in the alphabet.) Also, I can see Cait Sith being a Blue Mage/Gambler.

@scottjones84523 күн бұрын
No no my friend, sequel this, remake this, remaster it but Sekiro doesn't need a sequel and if Miyazaki ever decides to go back it should stay Wolf's story and his fighting style. Sekiro is precious and must be protected from modern gaming lol. This game too! If it's ever brought in, it HAS to keep it's soul. I vote leave it in the past, no sequel. Cuz the second you let that monkey out it's gonna get infested with DEI politics and just get WRECKED and sales completely tanked and whatever legacy this game has will get rolled. Lol

Just wanna clear things up about the intro involving Metal Gear Solid. The original MSX game was just Metal Gear, and MGS isn't a reboot. MGS is a continuation of Snake's story after the events of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake when he lives his military life behind, and being brought back into it by Colonel Campbell pulling his back in.

Why did you not cover the B-Side language option in this retrospective? To me, that's one of the most unique and memorable things about this game. Back when the game was released, the internet wasn't all that common. So when a friend told me at lunchtime that he heard Tajima say "I'm gonna stick this up your ass" when raising his gun, I did not believe him. But soon he invited me over, and there it was, what a wonderful way to replay the game. It turns the story into a raunchy comedy straight from the 00s. We did a full playthrough of Rikimaru's story and we could barely stop laughing. Give it a try if you haven't, you probably already unlocked it.
