  I love their chemistry. Kars doesn't really care about either of them so long as he gets his goal but he's not so petty as to get offended by a minor injury that healed in less than a second.

  Well, the uncertainty of his dominance over all things was what kept Kars in check. The moment he became an ultimate life form, the guy just butchered everything in sight out of curiosity if he was truly superior to the rest. After that, he just straight up pursued his vengeance for the fallen comrades. The reason why he despised humans was probably because of our arrogance over other creatures’ lives, like how he saved the dog by chopping the reckless driver’s hands off.

  Don't punish behaviour you want to see repeated. Kars is a good leader and understands this. Had Kars punished Wammu, Wammu would always second guess his reflexes from that point onwards, making him slower and not as great a warrior.

  I like how this scene gives you an idea what each of the Pillar Men is like. Wamuu reacts on instinct to Kars stepping on his shadow, then immediately apologizes for it, showing that he is a warrior first, a servant second. Esidisi immediately reacts by insulting Wamuu, not even analyzing the situation. This shows he's a smug bastard who looks down on everyone. Kars apologizes, and makes sure to compliment Wamuu instead of punishing him. However, the fact that he wasn't really hurt, and his smirk at the end, shows he is a manipulative bastard, who's able to use flattery and compliments to gain/keep people's loyalty.
