    Hey how does the low range work on this thing? My wife and I got a used 2018 Rubicon deluxe and when we put it in low range the gear indicator goes to dashes and it won't shift out of 1st in Drive or Esp, dealer told us this is normal but I don't buy it and the manual does not explain anything.

    Thanks for sharing, man. It's much appreciated. I bought my new Foreman Rubicon last Thursday. I live in the city but I have a deer lease and my RV in the woods. I put 15 miles on it today. The only squawk I have so far is it downshifting when I'm in semi-automatic mode. If I have it in second gear I want it to stay there but it will downshift back to 1st when you get off the gas. Not too crazy about that. This isn't a deal breaker but annoying. Another thing I found unusual is the fact the dealership told me if THEY (or any other Honda shop) does not perform the after-break-in service it could void my warranty. say What? yeah, that's what I was told. The valve lash is my concern but no ticks and hiccups of any kind so far. I'm perfectly capable of setting the lash myself. I have done this before countless times. 6 tho on the intake and 9 on the exhaust. Not a big deal at all. But if my bike's first service is "not in their system" it could be a problem I'm told. I'm not really buying that story but we shall see. btw, the cost of the first service is roughly 300 bucks. again, absorbently high IMHO. Cheers from N/W Louisiana.

    I wondering what would happen if you did one shock on one side vs both shocks push all the way out on both sides The other side would have factory solid rod.

    Ur gonna cut and or fray the strap going thru rim. Ask me i know. You need to put lasso on front tires pulling slightly foward AND straps on back tires pulling slightly backward. Simple Nd effective

    Thank you for the idea! We implemented your shock install on a Honda Talon X4 for a ride we have coming up this weekend. We gave you credit many times on our video and borrowed a couple clips of you. If you don't like it I can take it down and redo it. I also linked to this video in the show notes. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqh8o86rd7XKkbA.html

    The lasso straps I have say to have the tie downs tied 2-6” in front of the fronts or 2-6” behind the rears. And mine can’t go through the rims.

  • @Random_Dave
    @Random_Dave6 ай бұрын

    This through the rim method would not work well for wheels that are encrusted with ice and mud. I think the manufacturers recommended 10 and 2 method would work much better if the ratchets were not pointed straight down but rather a little forward of center on the front tires and a little back of center on the rear tires.

    Not everyone wants the straps on there expensive aluminum wheels you can still go around the tire but pull the front forward and the back backwards

    You should always lock your brakes in have it in forward gear then strap it down all four corners or at least two like i do i use two straps for the utvs i transport and not one issue what so ever nor will they move at highway speeds. I pretty much do an x pattern with my straps and bam i fold the excess strap loop it under and around above the ratchet then tighten it down where the straps are tight as can be around the unit and triple check before leaving and any time i stop..
