    @2:41 Owner put a cage on it??? Dude, They ALL come with whats called a "oil pan shield".... The motor doesn't sit low btw, its called your oil pan is DEEPER (taller) cause it takes 7-1/2 quarts of oil instead of standard normal cars of 5-1/2 quarts. and @ 6:22 ??? Seriously bro, comparing a baby Ferrari to a gay Miata?? wtf bro... wtf?? How do you compare a Mazda Miata suspension to an Alfa Romeo Spider suspension, bro HUGE DIFFERENCE in quality verse quantity and Miata is like Honda or KIA but Miata is pretty much made by Ford sadly. so pop hood on a Miata and look at all the motorcraft logo's lol. Some Alfa Romeo Spider parts do cross reference to Maserati, Ferrari, and sadly yes Fiat. Please learn the heritage and actually WHAT you are truly looking at (parts wise) and driving, especially making a video for everyone to see. That was a felony crime comparing Alfa Romeo to a Mazda (Ford)... Poor Phil, High Horsepower Hijinks insulted him bad, just completely insulted him to the point of no return... :(

It burns me up with their ignorance and I have that all the time when I take my "original survivor" 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate to car shows. People will literally argue with me about how it is not related to a Ferrari by any means and is more of a stupid MG or Triumph.... People are just plain retarded and plain stupid. I actually hate going to car shows now because of it cause somehow someway for some reason I always run into that stupid drunk guy that has to make a point in front of his girlfriend (cause she thought my car was cool, especially my brick car phone) that my car is actually dumb and not anything like a Ferrari and his Mustang, Camaro, Nissan 350z or Honda "Turbo" is wayyyy better than my POS... Put the Italian lowered racing spring kit on it to set it back to Italy specs instead of USA. Bumped the timing up by taking the rivet out and putting a bolt in the distributor and upgraded the cams to racing cams "big lobe big duration", bigger fuel injectors, 10.5:1 pistons, milled the head with bigger valves. Blind spot indications on inside because of snow and ice build up on mirrors in cold climates. Also i believe there are 3 programs for steering wheel resistance

  • @highhorsepowerhijinks866

    Well even if they were to keep the blindspot monitors in the mirrors they could have made it look less like an afterthought. Also I don't recall anyway to change the steering resistance but I like the way the steering feels so I wouldn't change it it's really sharp and I wish more cars would just have the steering feel good without adjusting settings. And they could just heat the mirrors.

    Transmission is not ZF 8 speed....It's Aisin Made In Japan - same transmissions used in Lexus and other Japanese cars (maybe for reliability ?). The 15 -16 S60 / V60 Polestar used also Aisin , but 6 speed automatic which was not bad at all because was tuned by Polestar and it had good gearing for canyon driving as it didn't need to shift so often.

  • @highhorsepowerhijinks866
    @highhorsepowerhijinks8665 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for letting us know! Can you tell me where you found that out of curiosity? That would make sense because I heard good things about the zf and this didn't feel so great

  • @simeonbonev4111
    @simeonbonev41115 жыл бұрын

    Not a secret. The information is on Polestar's web site. On the windows sticker also as country of origin of the transmission is listed Japan. www.flickr.com/photos/145444433@N06/45292953902/in/dateposted-public/ . From discussing the 6 speed gearbox in the15' and 16' cars and 8 speed transmission in the 17' and 18' polestars , the conclusion is the 6 speed feels better in the canyons where this car really shines because the gearing ratio with longer gears allow the car to stay in 3rd gear while the 8 speed gearbox is constantly hunting for the right gear and that is annoying. I can't comment which transmission is better. It depends on the application. Every motor and every car are different. For example I would choose the 6 speed manual in the Golf GTI , but the DSG in the Golf R because what I feel fits better the package ... The ZF8...well I have test driven the Audi SQ5 with high hopes, but didn't like it and wasn't impressed at all with the power to the point I had to go test it again because on paper it looked very good, but in reality I wasn't impressed with the car's performance as a package.

  • @vc8160
    @vc81604 жыл бұрын

    The 6 speed was below average compared to the 8 speed used in the 2.0 polestar. It continually hunted for gears and was slow on the up shift and downshift. I have owned both and only find the exhaust note better on the 3.0, everything else was an improvement on the 2.0

  • @v60polestar88
    @v60polestar885 жыл бұрын

    The 4 cylinder isn’t that great when it comes to sound. The 2015-2016 with the in-line 6 sounds better and smoother.

    That 2.0 sounded quite good, but not as good as the 3.0. This was the only thing better though, the 6 speed gearbox in the 3.0 was a major letdown, without even comparing it to the 2.0.

    1. Do some research on the actual drag strip times that the Demon is putting down by drivers who know what they are doing (watch Demonolgy videos, etc.). 2. Demon vs. Tesla: The Tesla has about 20 minutes of battery charge left after a run like that. Again, It would lose against someone who had experience with the Demon. It doesn't even compare! 3. The video of the 570 street racing the Demon has been proven to be a joke. The owner of that Demon had the car in Drag mode (for a roll race) and not a clue what he was doing. Same guy is responsible for most of the Demons getting beat KZread videos out there (he is pimping his car for subs). 4. ZL1 vs. Demon.. Again look at the consistent times put down at the drag strip vs. ZL1. Demon smokes it! 5. I recommend that you Drive or take a ride in a Demon before you claim it under performs. Trust me you will have a new respect for what Dodge has accomplished. The Demon is on another level... Period 6. You need some more water.

  • @highhorsepowerhijinks866
    @highhorsepowerhijinks8666 жыл бұрын

    rob kane Thanks for the comment but I don't see why the Tesla's battery life is necessary. There's also two different demons in the video and they both lose to cars they shouldnt. And I have done research on the quarter mile times and they are impressive but rarely are in the 9's and if they are they're still high nines not mid nines as Dodge claims. And I would love to get a ride in a demon I'm sure it's incredible but I think they're a bit overrated compared to dodged claims. other cars like the 720s run more consistently low quarter mile times and that should be happening since the demon is supposed to be the fastest car on the quarter mile.
