Brake clean! Honestly i love the super in depth job you 2 are doing on this Samurai. Plus I love the humor and for sure I could listen to your "assistant" all day, such a captivating voice. Keep up the good work. Subscribed and thanks!
you really watched the whole video :D. welcome to the subscribers and thank you :). more videos to come, we just need time to edit them.
Hi, I also have to change the bloody screw...can I ask you the size of the screw? M5x10mm? Thank you. And thank you for your informative videos.😊
as stated at the 1:57:21 mark, DIN 7991 M6 x 12. we always state all the screws, torque specifications and all other relevant information in the video.
Hello! What is the key size for the oil plug? (mm)
if you watch the video at the 00:45 mark, i say 17mm.
@@supplementaryservicemanual i watched it but didnt catch that part, you re right.
pay attention in class! :). we always try to put all the relevant information (socket sizes, bolt sizes, torque specifications) in all the videos.
I'm glad everything is going well and I understand your reasons. a cordial greeting from the Canary Islands😊
Hello, some of your followers are worried......when will a new video be released? Greetings
hi! we are fine, did not roll over or anything.. just need to work to keep the lights on so the youtube hobby is on a standby :). and also, having a 30+ year old rust bucket does not help the finances. we have a lot of videos filmed, but dont have time to edit them all. but stay tuned, we are going to publish them all!
Did you disconnect the distribuitor plug?
our is an EFI model, so we unplugged the whole computer, as you can see at the 4:00 minute mark.
Nerds
and proud of it.
Hi, what sealing compound are you using at the minute 24.19? thank you
if i remember correctly it is loctite si 5910. you can get it in large tubes or in smaller pressurized tubes like you see in the video.
Clamp
Hello, trying to find online the exact fuel filter you show on the video. Can you please advise where to purchase it?
i dont know your location, but try japanparts, as you can see in the video.
Can I offer to make a video on how to make a folding table on the rear door?
you can make an offer, but if you watch video number 49, you will see why we did not make that :). we bought a 10e camping table that we have thrown in the back, works much better on uneven terrain, and we can put it between the chairs (video coming soon(tm)).
You provide the best info and insights to pay attention to. Thanks a lot!.
no problem. that is why our videos are so long and unpopular :).
You are the best. Love from israel
thanks! :).
The advice you have shared is very interesting so that the brake line does not absorb too much air. Thanks for that
you mean to push the brake pedal to isolate the system from the reservoir? that is a must, because if the reservoir gets dry, you are in for a lot of pain.
Hello, although I have not commented on your 2 previous videos, I have enjoyed them. This last one is very instructive and I am also going to change the brake hoses, since I think the previous owner never did it and my Suzuki is from 1995, so for my own safety I think it is time. Greetings from the Canary Islands
glad you enjoyed them! our is even older, and they were just fine, just a bit too short. if the lines are not cracked, damaged or leaking, you dont need to worry :).
My samurai is having the same issues as yours. I will try a new fuel pressure regulator, thanks for the video.
hope it works!
the samurai is looking awesome. its great to see all the creations you create take form
that is what it it all about :).
RADICAL !! i have so much respect. word embedding :) hyper planes :) and really cool solutions :) I'm going to try and get organized this summer so this video is actually massively inspiring. tomorrow I drive my samurai with the new water pump for the first time :) thanks again for the taking the time to make these videos
some more of our roadtrips are incoming, we just need to find the time to edit everything :).
@@supplementaryservicemanual I totally dig :)
awesomeness . been in the woods for a bit . stoked to catch up on your adventures and and learn from you two :)
just the other day we were wondering where you are with no internet access :). welcome back!
@@supplementaryservicemanual :) I live in a cabin off grid an hour and half away from a town on the coast in Washington state :) when I'm in town I try to watch as many videos as I can to get as much information for the samurai and my astro vans :) where I live there is no cell phone service or internet and I got rid of my smart phone :) so I go to the library or my moms with my old computer :) stoked you two are keeping up the radical
one day i want to make our website with all of our videos where you can download them and watch them, for example, in the cabin in the woods with no internet :). but hosting costs money, and we dont have any :D. we are glad that videos help you with your samurai!
@@supplementaryservicemanual that would be amazing!!!
working towards that.. but it is slow because even basic hosting costs, and video hosting costs a loooot more. but the most expensive thing in that whole equation is - time. i believe that (useful) information should be shared, but i am aware that sharing has a real world euro amount - ie that is why buymeacoffee and patreon exists :).
HI, thank you so much for the info about the cheap fuel pressure regulator. I have the same car and I was looking for a cheap version. I guess you bought it on alibaba..right?
your welcome! it was not that site, but the other one starting with ali*. but you can find it everywhere now when you know the part number :). that was the hard part, finding that piece of information. nobody knew, or did not want to tell it without some cash.
@@supplementaryservicemanualSorry I have another question...do you know the part code or the correct model of the fuel pump ...the one inside the tank. Thank you
Thank you for making these videos. Cute couple, enjoy the commentary. Also, learned much from your vids.
glad that the videos help! and thank you :).
I'm a Suzuki Samurai fan.🤣
i can see that :).
Hello, interesting about the larger capacity filter. By the way, check the coolant level in the expansion tank and you should find out why the level has dropped. Greetings
the coolant level is at half of the expansion tank since we got the car, so i wont worry about it :).
I understand the idea but in fact if you respect maintenance intervals with oil and filter préconisation, there are never problems, all the more if this Samurai experience ends and upgrade by buying a Nissan Patrol hé hé ! I saw that on others channels ans its a frustration for me !
yes, i agree and acknowledge that bigger filter is not completely necessary for that dinky little petrol engine, but it fits, it reminds me of a vw golf filters, and it is even much cheaper then the smaller one.. so why not do it :). and im not left with half a liter of engine oil at the end. nissan patrol is not an upgrade in our case. we have one in our small off road group, and guess who gets stuck the most? the lifted, huge tires, all lockers engaged nissan patrol.. while the small samurai just keeps jumping on rocks and floating on soft soil.. even before we put MT tires on it. and that is the reason we were searching for one for such a long time :). and now have five.. it will never end..
It was a great video. Im in Arizona, USA. Now i will go change my diff fluid!
thank you! soon..... we will change it again and talk about oils, grades and standards. so if that sounds interesting stay tuned :).
Gracias por compartir, muy buen contenido informativo 🎉🎉saludos
glad it helped! :).
Great vídeo. Your Samurai must be fuel injected. First time I see hard lines going to a high pressure filter. Do you have the part number for that filter.
yes it is an EFI engine, as it says in the description :). unfortunately i dont have a part number for the filter. it does not specify that exact filter in the parts diagrams for EFI model. but i could easily find one just by searching for suzuki samurai EFI fuel filter, and comparing the pictures. they are about 10e a piece.
I did the same a few year later. All screw were broken at this occasion hé hé !
it is all good until one brakes inside the engine block or something like that :).
Congratulations, all your videos are very interesting. I'm a little envious of the evolution of your Suzuki Samurai. (I plan to copy some things). Pozdrav sa Kanarskih otoka 😜
it needs a lot more work, but we will get there, eventually, hopefully. dir auch hallo :p.
Living the dream guys! i'm picking up this series just now and i'm loving every minute. I think i should do the same thing and by another SJ for parts, great idea 😎
welcome! soon you will discover that there is never enough samurais, there is just not enough space to store them all :).
@@supplementaryservicemanual true to that guys 😅
Hello everything is fine!! I'm a regular viewer of your channel, I'm from BRAZIL I also have a SUZUKI SAMURAI, could you tell me where you got this complete "maintenance" manual. where can I purchase? Thank you, success!!
i can not give it to you because it is not mine to give. but if you search on the internet a little, you will find one quite easily :).
That was an awesome adventure :) the journey is the destination good job :)
the next one will be even better. stay tuned! :).
Nice car, nice mountain, nice country !
thank you! more to come! on the next one we actually accomplished what we wanted to do :).
You need a long Patrol, to carry all this brend new material hé hé !
once we saved a long patrol which broke down on our way back with our tools, even before we got all the new fancy stuff in nice bags :).
Hello, I usually drive on very complicated and lonely roads and I think I trust my Suzuki samurai much more than you do, I only carry what I need to change a flat tire, a bottle of water and a sandwich. Anyway, congratulations for your videos, which are very interesting (At first I thought you were in the United States but now I think you are in Germany) Greetings from La Palma in the Canary Islands.
as you, we also go on very lonely roads with nobody. we also trust our samurai, but if something goes wrong or we brake something, i would prefer if we are able to get ourselves out and get home (because nobody else can go on trails we go anyway :)). we are not from the usa, but we are closer to you than you think :). more videos are on the way, a little bit of fixing, a little bit of modifying and roadtrips off course :).
totally prepared :) good form :) looks like perfect amount of tools. Same amount as in my van :) need to make tool kit for samurai soon :) thanks for videos sending good energy
the kit evolve since we made that video, and i believe it will continue to evolve. we just got some JIS bits for a few days ago :).
Good ride !
more to come from this one! :).
Good scénary, sympatic couple !
thank you!
Good suspense hé hé !
we did not stop there.. :).
Ha ha ha, you not use to camp hé hé, you know, we cook rice before pick nick, and sincerely, for two person, its a lot of rice, you will eat this evening, in front of you TV, after your trip !
we ate all of it in one go :D. and we like our food fresh.
A lot of videos to do !
working on it!
Not easy to do, even with the good tool !
i would say that this is one of the easier things to do, you just need the 'special' timing light.. they are 'special' because no one uses them anymore so they are hard to find.
Ok cleaning, cleaning and cleaning !
yes, everything needs to be clean before reassembly. always!
Dangerous way to open matérial !
are you talking about the packaging or the differentials? :).
Good job.
thank you! :).
I know thie problem on mine, think you for showing the solution !
glad it helped!
Brend new tools for old interesting car !
we outfitted the whole workshop just to work on this car, and we are still missing tools.
what a great video...THANKS!!
thanks for watching! :).
good job
thanks! :).

where is the ical? :D.
