When do you use wrap and squeeze vs. Wrap and roll?

it is a continuous motion wrap and squeze and drive for a maximum of five steps if unable to take steps or take to the ground then roll

Freaking amazing this is the best tackling drills and techniques I've seen on KZread by far it reminds me a lot of watching good wrestlers break down how they get there double or a single leg takedown but cutting the angle and getting to the hip but my favorite is eyes to the thighs and drive for 5 if needed that hawk tackle is a textbook perfect
@Mma-basement-2158 ай бұрын
Exactly you don't need a helmet or pads on i think you learn better technique just like this you're basically shooting a double-leg or single keep your legs moving then Gator rolling as long as you have your guy wrapped up and your body is in proper position you're going to make the tackle or get the takedown how everyone say it

What if you are a DB and a big powerful fullback like, Jim Brown, Jim Taylor, John Riggins, or Larry Csonka decides to run straight at you? Where do you stick your head then? I want to know, but only if someone will tell me. I remember seeing those Miami players do this repeatedly when they were just running out the clock late in lopsided games. I imagine that the running back thinks that this is safer -- for him.

Why would someone choose a profile tackle over a roll or a hawk tackle? Is it just simply that you cant get in position to attack the thighs?
@robertruston5811 Жыл бұрын
I would suggest that a profile tackle be utilized against the sidelines or in a situation where it is a impossible to bring the ball carrier down due to momentum -- You should always attempt to put yourself in a position to make a roll tackle but leverage and angle might dictate otherwise
