Regardless of what you may think, NOBODY has free health care. To cover the costs of health care, a certain portion of you paycheck goes to taxes that pay for health care. So you are actually paying for your health care.

I read that Greenlandic people are more susceptible to alcoholism compared to the average. They have a higher than average chance of developing an alcohol addiction. Be careful drinking!

Thanks for the video! In the US we are considering "if trump wins" options and Greenland is intriguing. But it is uniquely remote so I have a few perhaps lame sounding questions, but I'm curious to understand. 1) Where does your electricity come from? How reliable is it? 2) Same with drinking water. 3) In your home, what is the quality of the construction? Besides exterior walls being weather efficient (I hope), how about the interior walls? Are they insulated and/or sound absoribng? Or just drywall over studs and otherwise empty? Can you be "alone" while someone else is inside? 4) Since everything must be flown or shipped in, how available are odds and ends like hardwares? 5) What is the composition of the government? Denmark? Are there oppositional parties? 6) Is there any competition for goods and services? Like if only one phone service, you're hostage to it. 7) Nightlife: pubs/bars/restaurants -- do they exist (I assume at least one place; Skål!) ? 8) Lastly, since you've lived there for over 10 years, I assume you're happy with most things. Intangible is the loneliness factor. It feels so isolated, compounded by the fact that you can't in a car and drive to New York. So, like any island too distant for a bridge, you're dependent on airlines. Or I suppose boats. But do you find you can actually meet new people? Thaks again, I look forward to more Greenland videos!

Honestly your prices are FAR cheaper than I thought. In Australia I pay over $100 U.S per month for private health insurance which is pretty important here and the government taxes you if you don't. Our Netflix bill is also over $100 U.S. per month but that also includes the internet and free calls around Australia on a landline to landline but really, who does that anymore? Your grocery bill is commensurate with what I pay.
