    I don’t bud, this was very early in leather working for me, if I made more they would be much better, and I would patch a small piece of leather over the bottom snap( that could potentially touch the caliper). Have a great day, if you make this send me a picture please.

    Not too shiny. We may have to act like Rambos if things go Sour and a war breaks out in or around the U. S. Not trying to be dramatic but there is a slight chance of that happening.

    Depending on where you're from. Pricking irons are used only for marking where the holes are going to be located. They are usually very expensive and they are not supposed to be used as chisels for punching holes. They break amazingly easily when even a rawhide mallet is used on them roughly. For punching holes in leather use a tool thats called a chisel, whether it be a one prong 2 prong or all the way up to 8 or 9 prong chisel. At least thats the way things are in the location where I live. I don't really know what tools are called in other locations or countries.

    Thing looks like a bag of hammered dicks! I hope you didn't charge anything for that. A stitching groover and a stitch spacing tool would do wonders for you.

    Innovative video. That edge burnisher is great for fixing mistakes! I think I'll make me one about the size of a pencil with a round tip and a flat tip. Maybe I'll just use a "stop" and make the lines straight or flared or something.

    @@LittleHayCreek how did u do the measurements for the fence? Thanks

  • @LittleHayCreek
    @LittleHayCreek2 жыл бұрын

    @@wilsonperformance I believe I took the thickness, and used this measurement for the angled part as well. It’s been a while since I did this, but I believe this is correct. Hope this helps, use scrap to test.

  • @LittleHayCreek
    @LittleHayCreek2 жыл бұрын

    Re-watched the video, looks like I cut the pieces oversized, then went back and set the fence for a cleanup, I used calipers to measure the thickness and the length of cut from the fence. Tape measure will work just fine. When you place the 3 pieces together for glue up the outer sides should be the same.

    Ahh, mine the fill tube wouldn’t seat all the way, causing the stock not to fit, fixed that and 3-d printed a barrel band. The barrel itself wouldn’t seat properly, added a second hold down in the threaded hole it came with to stabilize it, but still not happening, all kinds of pellets too. Not discouraged, just waiting on the accuracy of the T-1 you had talked about.

    With the right tools and mindset. Anything can be tweeked to be better. I just got mine in the mail and a reason I bought it is it is now discontinued. Thinking of getting a second to keep in the box for a later date. I do have one question. On the scales it appears there are dots. Are those wood to cover up rivets? Just asking because they look a little out of place. Either way function with true art. I like it a lot.

  • @LittleHayCreek
    @LittleHayCreek3 жыл бұрын
