So, she's trying to argue that "legally" they can be male, just not actually. She's probably correct. Politicians can define anything any way they want. The guy's arguing that they can't actually be and that they will still have an advantage physically. That IS the argument. Yeah, society can say anything they want with regards to definitions, but it doesn't change reality. She, and those like her, will never get that because they're in technical debate mode and think they've "won" on the definitions. Reality must suck for people like her.

Shia doesn't need to be ashamed of being genuine. Ever. Heart goes out to him, I understand family isolation and it can hurt deep.

I wish him sobriety but there's a reason he's been abandoned by those close to him. He's an abuser and I still don't see him really leading with that.

Abuse begets abuse sometimes sadly, but I do believe he's doing his damndest to break the cycle and not let family-coded reactions rule him. In short it looks to be that he's doing the work.

@@delsings "Alluded to it," yes. Quite different from the very concrete legal peril that he is in as a result of abusing FKA Twigs. A distasteful aspect of the addict-redemption arc: it draws attention away from other behaviors-- like manipulation and aggression, which are there whether you're wasted or not. BoJack Horseman dealt with this topic really well. No apology or crocodile tears are going to cut it-- what he really needs to do is shun the spotlight and restitute his victims.
