hello! the object that ratio left to aventurine was a note of advice to him, to be opened if aventurine was on his last legs (which is when he ended up in the nihility void) i suck at summarizing but aven believed that there was no meaning to his life, after all he has been through and how he lost everything. believing too that no one would care if he would one day disappear. ratio's note in that object showed that he does truly care about him, saying to "do stay alive" while everyone around aven doesn't like or outright wants to kill him. and also with acheron's guidance, aventurine gained the will to continue living. you can see slight changes in his attitude in the messages we get between him and trailblazer. he still has to put up the facade in the IPC but for sure because of that, there's some hope in him again thanks to both ratio and acheron hope that explained stuff well! writing this at 4am is not making my braincells work 😭😭

He will never be okay with himself. It's in a scholar's nature to doubt after all. The volition of other forces curses Aventurine to a life of solitude. From the Katicans that ravaged his family and race, to the master that enslaved him and burnt into his skin a permanent reminder that he will *never* be freed from the role of someone to be used, to the Sigonian council that ousted both his clan and the Katicans to the desert, leaving his people to be massacred like sheep, and lastly, the IPC that had the ability to prevent everything, but lacked the volition to do so, and now keep him in golden shackles. Not even his best abilities are formed from his own volition. His good fortune? A blessing from Mother Gaiathra. His looks? Complete luck. Circumstances out of his control will forever isolate him, leaving him the sole, undeserving survivor. One was loved dearly but lost everyone, now being treated as not human, but a chip on the table to be bet by the organization.
