it would be good to know what liquid defoamer he is using. Is it Diatomaceous Earth? Is it something that must be filtered out with a vacuum system...meaning can the hobbyist use it and not have to worry about its making the filtering process even harder? Thank you

Another great video. So my question is is I followed another DIY Guy and made mine out of one 5 µm filter and three 150 gallon per day ro filters. I watch some of your other videos already tonight and asked a bunch of questions. My question on this is I’m taking sap it’s just over one percent with a hydrometer. They’re all red maples, and bring it up to 4 1/2 ish fairly quickly I did 20 gallons of sap in about 2 1/2 hours. Is this working OK or am I doing something wrong or is it actually filtering out what it’s supposed to be filtering my permeate is basically zero. Thanks for any input. I just want to make sure im not doing anything wrong and making bad syrup. We only make about 2to 3 gal a season and would hate for it to be not safe. Thanks again Fred

So in your opinion with 20 or so trees using 3/16 tap lines. What size mainline do you feel I should be using. Thank you for your help.
