GENERAL TIPS 20:02:49 Louise: if Accounts is not your strong point, we recommend sitting with an Accounts person, who is able to talk you through how accounts side of a practice work. There are many other CPD avenues in this area too. 20:04:05 Matthew: A good book is in the reading list called Accounts Demystified... 20:04:22 Kerry: If you bring in notes, make sure you can read them easily - you won't want to be sifting through tiny written notes when you are being questioned. 20:05:39 Louise: Again, if you don’t work within an HR area… and some practices use an outsourcing company… That’s fine, its all about knowing exactly where you could find the information 20:25:06 Kerry: The CVPM definitely made me want to carry on the learning experience. From the CVPM I them did a Certificate in Professional Management and an MBA. The CVPM started me off!

SCENARIO 3 - STRESS 19:53:35 philippa: I would have had a few informal chats to try and see what’s affecting her and if there is anything we can do to help, begin to say that this is affecting work and we may need to go down a formal route 19:53:37 iPhone: regular updates with staff memeber re wellness and how we can help her back to work if appropriate, alter shifts or days as a phased return if appropriate 19:53:43 Lucinda: Ask them if there is anything you can do to assist them on a practical, and wellbeing way - ask them how often you would like them to receive check-ins 19:53:49 Nikki: Would have kept in regular contact. Look at occupational health review. 19:54:08 Nikki: Look at staged return to work 19:54:14 philippa: in the hospital I work in we offer racing welfare support if the need any help from therapists etc 19:54:15 Lucinda: review your well-being and health review for all of your staff, maybe contact local support networks 19:54:56 philippa: Ensure if the stress is from work then do policies/working practices need changing if it is having a negative effect 19:54:58 iPhone: keep accurate records on file of all confact 19:55:06 Lucinda: implement your findings - often employees see reviews but not feel confident in actioning changes
