This time was set over 5 years ago during a 12 hour endurance race in older karts. If you don't believe me ask Conner or Martin who works there and show them this video. Martin was one of my teammates during the event

@obRCmania10 ай бұрын
@@joshturner9766 I've seen 29 seconds on the old track layout from about 7/8 years ago. But I think the fastest I've ever seen on this track was 34s but that was when a kart spilt oil everywhere and the track was basically flat out everywhere. It wasn't official as no one would ever get near that time on a normal day. I think it was set by a marshal who worked there if I remember correctly. However this was a good few years ago. I would say that the current karts are a touch slower but not much.

Looks slippy! I have struggled to do more than about 42 I think on this track. I've been watching your cornering style on a number of videos. You see to turn sharply in, actually aiming as if to hit the barrier a foot or two before the apex. But the cart then slides, you steer into the skid and you just clip the apex rather than hitting it a foot or two before the apex. Is that a method for getting the cart to take the corners with the maximum speed carried through? I tend to brake, steer as if to clip the apex, with no sliding and then accelerate away. Maybe this is where I am losing time? Too slow and cautious in the corners.
@obRCmania3 жыл бұрын
Was very slippery on this night. Think in qualifying the fastest lap was a 47 second lap time as there was a little bit of condensation on the track but as it dried the track quickly improved. Teamsport bristol is a really weird track in terms of driving style. For whatever reason I tend to get a lot of understeer on entry which is exaggerated on this night with how slippery it was (especially on the lower floor). However I know someone who tried my style and did exactly what you said which was driving in to the barrier a foot before the apex. So I don't know how I make it work to be honest. What I would say is try to aim to start accelerating at or before the apex. This will give you the maximum speed exiting the corner which is far more important than being fast on the entry. Especially on the hairpin before the up ramp
