These are some great options. Irish moss is actually not a true moss and does best in at least part sun (although afternoon shade in hot climes is best). Ajuga is versatile in its light requirements. It can grow in full sun as well as shade.
Wastching this in 2024 and can't wait to make the move to PNE in 2025! Will be visiting Sunny Crest Nursery and buying for sure!
So beautifully planted! Thank you so much for inspiration ❤️ I have a gaintmorous stump n have been researching my options... I'm so excited about making it into the centerpiece of our side yard. Which will be viewed from our dining area window. Thank you so very much 😊 Happy gardening my new friend.
Hi, a question on Cat Mint. Does that grow like the herb mint plant? Will the cat mint become invasive if planted in the ground?
@amysewz No, it forms a clump instead.
Great-thank you
Hi, Debbie: Your new flower recommendations are great! I especially like the Dream Dazzler and the Rose Marvel Salvia. Actually, they would go nicely together! I'm volunteering with a local organization and buying some plants for them and installing them to improve the curb appeal. Since I'm donating my time and the plants, I want to be sure I can find things that are sure to survive! and take the heat of the summer. These two hit the mark just right!! Thanks again and can't wait to meet your Mom!
I live in Lake Placid, Florida (Highlands County) and the Crepe Myrtles do very here in full sun and the deep sand of the Lake Wales Ridge.
You have a lot on your plate, so thanks for this excellent look at these new plants. You are right, the salvia is a showstopper. Wondering how deer resistant it is, as some of the modern cultivars are reported to be more palatable to our lovely wildlife!
Your channel is a joy to watch. The editing of your videos makes me green with envy. 😊 I will just have to keep trying to figure out how to edit videos on my own. 🥴 Thanks for the inspiration! 🪴
I was hoping you would mention drain holes or something. What about the drainage? I was going to put something under it so the pot can still drain.
so glad to hear your mother is doing well.♥
I love how you said that you got the "bug" from your momma ❤ I too, got my love of gardening from my mom! I bet that she can't wait to be mobile again so she can putter around your beautiful gardens!!
Your plant selections have proven to be years ahead of their time…a true trendsetter. Thank you
Hello mrs, can I plant Nandina in the shade because the place where I live is don't have much sun. Thank you
I love my Rose Marvel Salvia. I live in zone 6, SE Michigan. I also love all sedums and am planning on adding some of these varieties. I love the color they provide. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤ your videos.
😀
Fantastic plant tips and suggestions.
Thank you so much for the good ideas! So glad to hear news of your mom and her progress! Happy gardening!❤
You are a sweet person, you are subscribed. Good luck 👍
Thank you thank you for the information of beautiful plants. May I ask: I have Provine Winners Heart to Heart Caladium. The leaves are beautiful but they started to bloom a white flower with seeds like a peace lilly. Should I cut the flower so the caladium focuses on leaves, not seeds. Thank you for your help
Yes! Cut off the blooms.
Hi, 97F here at least and in midday it goes up. Horrific in other words. This is Greece. Whoever decides to come to Greece for holidays please choose white clothes or light colours and cotton, nothing synthetic.
You share the best plants🌱Thank you!
Lovely plants. Pleased to hear your mum is doing well. Wishing her all the best with her procedure 💐
Loved hearing about your mom and how well she’s doing! ❤
Definitely want to try the Fire Cracker sedum! Beautiful, and the Rose Marvel Salvia! You have such a calming voice, easy to listen to.
Praying God watches over Mom and restores her strength! Thanks for another informative video. Sedum is my fave because it never lets me down in my hot climate and varieties are so vastly different. My Rose Marvel is also staying gorgeous. Looking forward to your next video 🪴
I live in zone 8a here in the south but I love looking at your channel. It reminds me of the first couple of newlywed yrs when we lived in the Seattle area. I wish I had gardened then but didnt get into it until many yrs later. Thank you for the memories and thank you for your garden!
I will be on the lookout for hebe on the east coast. It is beautiful!
Epimedium is easy to pull out , not aggressive. Love it.
You are blessed to have your mother with you! I had mine until she was 99 and I was 69 and both master gardeners ❤
God Bless you Debbie for taking care of your mother. I will be looking for that salvia. Love your channel 💚
I’m curious as to where you are in Washington? I’m also in Washington on San Juan Island. Just wondering how our zones compare? I love your videos!
I'm in Gig Harbor south of you. Welcome to my channel! 😄
Thank you for a wonderful video God Bless you and praying for you and your Mom !❤
Love your show - always something new to look forward to. What is the plant at 15:47 - it looks like tiny orchids! and the hakonechloa is a lovely contrast. Best wishes to you and your Mom.

Beautiful plants! Yes, we are dealing with close to 100 degree days and no rain in NC. Enjoy your cooler temps!
Prayers for your Mom. Thanks for sharing the video. Beautiful flowers.
Yeah we've been in 90° weather for about a week now so that's going to it's going to stop here pretty soon though usually we don't have that hotter weather in Pennsylvania and zone 6B but then definitely get some time talk to you later I love watching your show thank you bye
+Thanks Deb for all your ideas. I can't find Para-hebe "Lavender Mist" anywhere. Who was the grower?
Here in zone 5 Minnesota, I could only grow the lovely Lavender Mist as an annual, but Sedum and Salvias are favorite perennials of mine. LOVE the Rose Marvel and your outro garden video! My Mom gave me the gardening bug, too. Ever grateful to her! 🌱🌺🌷
Similar temps here in the East SF Bay hills. One day this week will be 77’ but stays in upper 60’s to very low 70’s. Love the Rose Marvel salvia!

Way too hot. Your channel is my favourite gardening channel . I hope you're mother has a full recovery very soon
I'm in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, and this is my third year growing Rose Marvel. Mine are part shade. I love the color and the width of the plant.
