After all you're demonstrated central Diff Lock isn't Lock completely rather Front or Rear Diff Locks do and again all Drifting/Racing Builds Working On Several Types of Locks and Still Going with much more brutal force than your 4x4 idle power 😅

We had 1007 Landies in a convoy in South Africa, but some little Jap car sneaked in and we weren't given the Guinness World Record. We will never ever attempt, better or match that again. Go for it guys... Keep the Green Oval spirit high, sadly it's burned out here, like a lot of other things... 🇿🇦 Oooops, 11 years ago, I see.... 🤭🤭🤭

Helps a structure on it to last longer, the denser packing of soil allowes it to carry more weight and slows the rate at which moisture can seep through. Its a similar effect like you can observer with a footpath where the constant trampling by peoples shoes has compacted the ground somewhat, during rain the path is muddy but you dont sink in at all or just a tiny bit, step a few feet aside and your feet sink in to a larger degree.

Landrovers only set back off road is no locking or limited slip differentials as an option, I have a detroit locking differential in the back axle and a detroit truetrac in the front axle of my ninety, they make an unbelievable difference and totally change it, I've had them both in for over ten years and not a moments bother, much cheaper stronger and easy to fit, don't like air lockers too much faf and expensive, detroit lockers and truetrac limited slip far far better. Nice demonstration of a stock disco still a very effective weapon off road 👍

I purchased the last of the TD5 Disco II with the centre diff lock back in 2004 and is still going good. Just wondering about what front and rear differential air lockers are designed to achieve when off road?
@charlieyoule8007 Жыл бұрын
Really depends on what you want to achieve. The front locked is almost undrivable, straight line only. Rear is OK but you should have Traction Control and you would not need this unless perhaps rock crawling IMNO, but TC works well with the lockable centre diff, couple of good videos on this if you search YT try to see the difference : kzread.info/dash/bejne/epyXt6eAiqqXhLA.html
