I need photos. I'm thinking fungus, reaction to shampoo residue or fly bites. Pencil eraser sized black greasy/flaky patches that after cleansing small slightly oozy sores were visible.
It looks slippery, pup looked like she was having an issue moving on it.
My dog, who is 6 years old, won’t open her right eye and she keeps scratching it with her paw… also, her eye does look a little grey too… The vet did say once before that she’s going blind so we thought that might be the cause but we don’t know.

Our female cat (daughter of a barn cat) gets them as soon as all the human children leave for school (coincidentally when she wakes up with her night “nap”)She has a high level of hunting instinct (she only likes cat treats when we throw them or put them somewhere that requires effort to extract). Our big male cat (from a long line of pampered indoor cats) never gets them. Thanks for the explanation!!

Vets don't know much about canine nutrition. They just want to sell you the dried kibble in their vet practice which is crap food.
I have a yellow Labrador retriever and she had a bad experience while drinking. She is an emotional girl. Anyways I got more and more confused, tried everything. It’s like she feels she isn’t allowed or there’s something wrong with it. But I read online that I could fill in a little food just to give it taste and then she drank the whole bowl. Like any suggestions on how I get her to not think it’s dangerous or whatever she thinks again? It’s not a good solution to keep putting food in for her to drink.

I thought about getting a service animal for my PTSD, but I honestly think a personal protection dog would be better suited. I was almost game-overed by someone I know, and that has re-engaged my PTSD to an almost debilitating point. Knowing I have a dog that will defend me would put me more at ease. Unfortunately, my current dogs have proven to be big chicken dogs (though I don't blame them because it was a very scary situation). Knowing what kind of service you need from a dog is important. ESAs, SAs, and PPDs all have a place and purpose. Make sure you talk with your doctors to figure out which is best for you.

You say to fast your dog. Then say to put ginger on a piece of cheese and feed it to them. Doesn’t make sense.

I have a 3 year old that is bowell and bladder trained to hold it until i get home, then he goes straight outside. 3 weeks ago i got a 4 month old pup and she is not crate trained. But i realized that i wasnt putting her on a feeding schedule (I was letting her eat thrunthe entire day and night, so she had to poop a lot). I also didnt take her back outside for 10 minutes before i left for work (because i let her run in the yard all morning when i got up). And i had her in a large cage without installing a divider for her to 'respect' keeping her resting space clean. When i changed those three things, it made a HUGE difference, like magic! Of you love your fur babies, youve got to be patient and know you can help them get thru the problem 😊
