    I am a beginner perhaps tha that is why but I simply added your preset in google drive in my amplitube but the song I get is not close to the sound you show in this video, I tried with Fender strat , P90 Yamaha Revestar and also Les paul. No way it is not the way it sounds here or I might be wrong I try again

  • @domminney

    @@briodJames I also released a Strat version but here are things you should check…. Make sure you are using an input that takes an instrument level signal, don’t use a line in then gain it up. I use the IK multimedia z-tone buffer for this, it has massively improved my guitar tones via a DI. Not all guitars sound the same so tweak the opening EQ or add another before it so you can match your guitar closer to the one I made the patch with. Make sure you’re not clipping your input signal. In my experience most people’s mistake is with the incorrect impedance on the input, it must be an instrument input.

    I know this is a big ask, I am not to hot on the old axe, and have just bought a black Squire Sonic to replicate David Glamour's 'Black Strat'. I am finished the transformation aesthetically and am just about o concentrate on the guts for a close sound with Semour Duncans and a 'Big Muff' etc. My question is, can you do the same for comfortably numb on Amplitube, I have Amplitube 5 with The Brian May gear but would love to get more into it with this Floyd song, can you help with this one? @@MrXYZMEE I would imagine it’s a few possible things 1. Bad impedance match between the behringer and the telecaster, you should use an instrument di box like the z-tone 2. Cheap pickups in the squier telecaster that are probably picking up loads of electrical noise, maybe you’re sitting too near the computer, monitor or other electrical devices. 3. Bad cables or you’re using a speaker cable instead of a shielded jack lead. 4. Input level is not right on the behringer 5. Amplitube or your DAW is set to monitor two inputs, for example input 1+2 and 2 might be generating noise.

    @@domminney That's a tough bite. I'm frustrated that BlackMagic doesn't give room for any customization, and the use of their own harware in their own software is very limited. On each page, a great use would be the Grading Panel, for stitching, or dials for Fairlight to control tracks etc. Since their big steel thingy takes up a big chunk of the desk, it should be able to do more. I'm also disappointed that you can't control other software with it. At the same time, they are limiting third party manufacturers to make a better panel themselves than they have. Tangent element could be better if BM didn't limit it on features.

    Hey, amazing and very inspiring video, thank you! The moment I saw it, I went out and bought an Akai MPD218 to start building a color grading panel. However, I encountered a problem and would like to seek your advice. When I turn the knob and use input.on('cc', (msg) to listen for the controller's value, the listener is not called anymore once the value reaches the upper limit 127, no matter how much I continue to turn the knob to the right. Even if I assign a smaller value to msg.value to prevent it from reaching 127, it doesn’t help. I have to turn the knob left, and only when the value decreases does the input.on listener function get triggered again, which prevents me from achieving a seamless continuous turning knob. I was wondering that does your midi controller's knob value, when reaching 0 or 127, continue to trigger the listener function, like continuously outputting 0 or 127?

  • @domminney
    @domminney2 ай бұрын

    The controller I use doesn't give values on the knobs like that, it gives bursts as it turns with numbers from -64 to +65 depending on how fast it is turned. Each event turns the knob a litle bit up or down and I have a variable that sets which knob is being turned so it only does the mousedown once and a timeout to clear that variable and mouseup once you've not touched the knob for .25 of a second. Does that make sense?
