I was 20 years old when this album was released, but it was in 1977 that I got into the punk rock and new wave movement and I bought this album (as many of others of this genre as well as ska albums) in the late 1970s.

Underrated vocalist. Yes, he's known by his fans and Rainbow fans. Not exactly a household name. Chris Cornell was a great singer too but the general public knows who he is. Graham Bonnet, not as much. If you compare their level of skill, Graham probably has the edge. This is why I say he's underrated.

Forty years ago today I queued outside of Woolworths to buy this album. I played it so much I needed a new vinyl by Christmas. Listening to it takes me straight back to being a 14yr old in NE England desperately wishing I was a black American!

1987! I just started a job. 50hrs was mandatory. Never watched my kids grow up. They wore the Best and had it. All well to do so maybe I didn't fail after all. Shame I missed it. Would not change a thing.😢😊

End of summer break 1984 & about to start 7th grade I took bus to Berkeley H.S. civic auditorium to see this concert with bronze & fastway . Great show & bought a ratt'n'roll shirt . Payphones had just went up from 1 dime to 2 dimes to call my dear ol mom to pick me up after the show . What's a payphone ?

Forty years ago today I queued outside of Woolworths to buy this album. I played it so much I needed a new vinyl by Christmas. Listening to it takes me straight back to being a 14yr old in NE England desperately wishing I was a black American!

End of summer break 1984 & about to start 7th grade I took bus to Berkeley H.S. civic auditorium to see this concert with bronze & fastway . Great show & bought a ratt'n'roll shirt . Payphones had just went up from 1 dime to 2 dimes to call my dear ol mom to pick me up after the show . What's a payphone ?
