Subpar? You’re nuts. Listen to Pink Floyd stand still and attempt to emulate a recording perfectly then. I'll take the raw energy and dissonance of the Stones over that bore-fest every time. It’s rock and roll, not a night at the opera.

The organized chaos of this song, the edge of cacophony, that all keeps the time, it is as if we suddenly feel the war burning toward our door. All those people in history who needed shelter from the bombs and still do... they captured it.

I've never Understood Why everybody thing thanks, The Rolling Stones are so greatold, Craig. And to be honest, they have great songs. But are horrible musicians from the drummer? It's a guitar player's all they have is a front man, that's it. I shouldn't say horrible musicians. Just not Great musicians

Mick Taylor the lead guitarist (here, just miming the rhythm) from 1969-74 was a great musician and virtuoso. The others were not, but they had a feel and distinct sound.
