So delicious when I was a little girl my mother’s friend was a excellent cook and made some one year I’ve never forgotten that dressing maybe one day I’ll make it for KZread 🤣 that’s a great idea I’ll see how I can work it into my videos

  One last comment, I don’t think you could eat beans without cornbread, and I didn’t think you could cook cornbread in a crockpot but this old white guy with a real deep southern accent showed how to do it on KZread. He made his from scratch, but I used two boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix. Spray the crockpot with that nonstick spray stuff and then heat it up for 30 minutes pour in a little oil and then pour in your cornbread batter and it takes about an hour to cook, maybe a little bit longer. You’ll be able to tell, the edges are crusty and brown and the bottom is crusty and brown, and it doesn’t stick , and it turned out exactly as good as it was made in the oven. Just fluffy. I made the cornbread yesterday and had some with chili, and put the rest in the icebox. So I’m sitting here right now with a big bowl of these delicious beans and a hunk of cornbread, and I am in hog heaven.

  Oh my god! So I made these beans exactly like it shows in the recipe and they’re the most delicious beans I ever ever had. They’re absolutely perfect. There was one change I made, but I couldn’t help it because they don’t sell ham hocks or smoked turkey at the at jewel food store. So I got three dinner cut Ham steaks from “off the bone“ brand smoked ham from the delicatessen and cut that into bite-size pieces and it’s absolutely delicious.
