  She was hilarious, bless her. Had a dinner party with her once and she told us about her singing career back in the day. She then sang for us and cracked jokes all night. Her and Lady Sarah were an hilarious double act that day because of the dynamic between them. RIP to them both.

  I felt that the most successful achievement of this movie is that it shows you don't have to shatter your life completely to be an alcoholic... And Mary Elizabeth Winstead has a huge role in that!

  The biblical prophet Elijah has returned, as prophesied, and testifies: I can help, especially concerning the "Higher Power." I was raised in the Catholic Church and went to Catholic schools, and that was a very good foundation for understanding that there is much more to life than this limited world. But it eventually became clear to me that too much of it didn't make sense. For example, a schizophrenic GOD who is angry, jealous and wrathful in the Old Testament, but "is love" in the New Testament - and the insane belief that GOD's Son had to die as a "sacrifice for our sins." And so I became agnostic for many years - until GOD made Itself known to me directly. As it turns, my becoming agnostic was due to WISDOM. Because, FEAR causes people to cling to beliefs that don't make sense. And wisdom automatically comes as fear is overcome. Wisdom and fear are inversely proportional. And the Bible serves many purposes, including a fear/wisdom test that doesn't give you Truth until you're ready for it! (Prioritize "the words in red" and discount conflicting statements and you'll get it!) Few know where AA truly originated, like I do. It originated from a particular channel, one of two that were invaluable in my own GOD-given education. AA wasn't the brain-child of some man or men. It came from THE Higher Power Itself - The Mind That is GOD - through a channel named Edgar Cayce. The work of Edgar Cayce and Helen Schucman ("A Course in Miracles") are two bona-fide works of GOD given through the Holy Spirit in the 20th Century and stand apart from all other channeled works. When you discover what GOD is and what Jesus Christ ACTUALLY teaches, you discover that the organized religions have butchered the "good news" of Jesus Christ ("The Kingdom of GOD is within you") beyond recognition, into its OPPOSITE (judgment and sacrifice for "sin"). And that's why I was sent as GOD's witness at the end of this cycle of time, to re-state and clarify the "good news" that Jesus Christ brought some 2000 years ago. Can you see that the Book of Revelation is currently being fulfilled before your eyes? It will get very bad in the short term. But the "good news" is that it will get very good in the long term! "In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world." "He who overcomes will inherit all things." - JC The fact is that EVERYONE will overcome, in time, for that is time's GOD-given purpose and guarantee! "GOD our Savior...will have all men to be saved and come unto knowledge of the truth." (1Timothy 2:3-4) When you learn exactly what GOD is (The limitless Mind that is ALL), exactly what YOU are ( the "son" of GOD, a limitless Thought in the Mind that is GOD, given the ability to think WITH that Mind), exactly what satan is (the selfish human ego), and exactly why you are here (we partook of an irrational idea, symbolized by the "tree of knowledge of Go(o)d and (d)evil"), and how we will get back Home (by rejecting that irrational idea and overcoming the ego) THEN EVERYTHING MAKES PERFECT RATIONAL SENSE! As Max Planck indicated in his 1944 Florence Italy speech ("On the Nature of Matter"), scientists who pay attention to the quantum physics data can see that this world (of limitation) is a simulation in A Great Mind. GOD has revealed to me WHY we are experiencing it. And Jesus Christ tells you how to leave it behind, and guarantees that you will succeed! "Judge not and you will not be judged, condemn not and you will not be condemned, forgive and you are forgiven." By forgiving others we effectively forgive ourselves and free ourselves from our prison of ignorance, guilt and fear. THIS IS WHAT SALVATION IS. And this is why it is KEY to know that GOD is the Mind that is ALL Because, it is then possible to forgive others as well as yourself, because you know that all is of GOD and all is for good...and the evil devil is just an irrational idea! We must kill spirits by a Spirit greater than that spirit. A Higher Power. A Power greater than human power. A Power greater than the Spirit destroying our god given human body. ... Addict root word (latin) means slave. What Master will you serve? ... The Spiritual Life is not a theory. We must live it. ... Faith without works is dead. ... True faith will have works, just like true willingness will have action. ... Spiritual progress not spiritual perfection. ... We grow or we go. ... Our sobriety is an undeserved gift.   Started AA in 1992. Got sober for almost 19years. Then 2012 drank again for 4 years and now been sober again since May 2, 2015. Now time to give up smoking dope.

  12/5/22 - I had just quit an outpatient program for the third time. I was hungover, without much conscious care in the world. Out of nowhere, my eyes were opened and I could see the devastation alcohol had done in my life. No new information, but a new understanding. I have been sober ever since. God loved me enough to do for me what I could not do for myself. Thank you to all of you who keep the rooms running every day and ever hour until our Lord returns ❤❤❤❤❤

  I'm am less than 24 hours with out a drink. I am an alcoholic and an addict. For years I have struggled with alcohol. I can't go on any longer seeing the disappointment in my mother's face when I walk in the house blasted out of my mind. I know if I don't stop this time I will never make it back. Thank you Bill.

  I don't know how the UK handles things, but the US system is brutal to substance abuse/non violent criminals. There's absolutely no attempt to help anyone in US prisons.

  I can not believe this exists. I am so blown away to be able to watch and hear Bill himself tell his story at a speakers meeting. Wow. To hear Dr. Bob died directly from the mouth of Bill the day he died. And to listen to him tell a vision for you as a bit of parting advise… tears. ❤❤

  Well, I came to a Meeting in 1983 at 21. Can you imagine. I've been away from meetings many times over 40 years. I relapsed at 45 after divorce. Luckily for 18 months only. I'm now 61. AA has gone woke long ago and the trials of our time affect alcoholics. What to do?

  This NOT Bill W. the night Dr. Bob died. Read on... For many years a tape/CD has been circulating that says it is Bill Wilson speaking on the night Dr. Bob died. Sadly, that is not true. The presentation was a dramatic, one-man show, conceived by a member of the program and intended to capture the interest of inmates at the prisons visited in his service work. His name is Bill M and he never represented this as Bill W. He does not impersonate Bill’s voice (Bill Wilson was clearly from New England and Bill M is more like the Dead End Kids) and it was not his fault that someone decided to put a false label onto his work. Bill M says that he visited prisons for years and both he and the prisoners got tired of him telling his same story all the time. So, Bill M. says, he pulled together the script from Bill’s Story in the Big Book, AA Comes of Age, Pass it On and other scraps he came across. He wanted a dramatic setting to keep the audience interested and receptive. To be honest, I was not going to share this recording after I found out it was not our Bill. But I loved the tape when I thought it was Bill W., it carries a good message and when you realize it was a one-man show, Bill M. did a heck of a good job. The play was called “Moments” and we present the performance of “Bill Wilson on the Day Dr. Bob Died,” written and performed by Bill M., of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.   I knew Mary (that's is to say I have heard her share in a meeting in Liverpool. God bless her. I knew Kirkby Joe well he was a good friend of mine in my early days. God bless him and his. I sat here crying listening to this.... God bless everyone
