  I'm a child of the 80s, and a guitar player, and love a lot of the players here (Schon is a god), but... man alive, that was a lot of fucking wanking. Seems like they had a competitive environment in the studio so everyone was in full blown showboating mode.

  Excellent! Beyond the Realms was released inUK as freebie on 7” Vinyl with Unleashed In The East. The first big gig I saw, British Steel tour ‘81, Iron Maiden as support!! I still remember the echo from the snare drum when they played this. Amazing!!

  I bought this cassette back in '86 when I was 16. Such an amazing song. Buck Dharma gets my vote as the most underrated guitarist here. Hell, Blue Öyster Cult in general is very underrated. I also find it interesting that Y&T's Dave Meniketti was chosen to lend his vocals rather than his ability with the guitar. He's been my favorite guitarist for years and he could have more than handled his own with these other guys. His solo during live performances of "I Believe in You" is otherworldly.
