Thank you!! I try to do that, sometimes I forget though! Every line I waited in was virtually the same length: an hour and a half. It’s crazy to me that it’s impossible to predict the line lengths though. There’s no formula to it, it’s just random and depends on the con. :)
@@camlector Hi Cam.. thanks! Yes it does seem random sometimes. Ive seen people I would think have humongous lines, not have much... sometimes even none! Who are some actors you were shocked didnt have long lines?
@@10lbfish11 Susan Sarandon, Chevy Chase, and Jon Bernthal come to mind… all of them had lines, just not half as long as I was expecting

Thanks so much for the compliment! I think maybe the obscurity adds to it, but a lot of the people I meet genuinely love their fans and I think I’ve just been lucky. :)
My girlfriend, my friend and I meant to meet Rosario Dawson and add her to my vlog after we met Rob Paulsen. Except it was getting late, my girlfriend and I were getting tired and hungry and from what I heard according to my dad as he went to see what was up while we were in line for Rob Paulsen, Rosario only could do autographs and photo shoots at the time. We’ll make sure to try and meet her next time she comes to Boston

Kenobi wasn't the best. But it is worth seeing the duel between Vader and Obi-wan in episode 6. That scene is probably on KZread anyway. It is a nice addition to the whole Anakin/Vader story

Hey Cameron, great videos as always, its celebs like Bryce Dallas Howard that make these worthwhile. I think its ballsy to charge for 8X10's. They were doing that at the Big Event tables at this past Chiller. It did not affect me as I always bring an item but it comes off as a cash grab.

@@_shawncb same here! I always got mine at Walmart, but a lot of Walmarts stopped carrying them. There’s only one in a 2 hour radius of my house that has them.

It was in a different spot because of construction near BCEC, but it will be back next year. I personally thought it was better at Hynes. I was in the auto room for most of the day and kept an eye out but didn’t see you. I got Dee Bradley Bakers autograph and then waited with a friend for Ashley Eckstein, Rosario Dawson and Holly Marie Combs.

What's the point of collecting/working on signed posters? Hello, in this day of age not forgetting that you have to pay for essentially for "C" has-been actors you will NEVER EVER Complete your posters! Where are the main names?
I mean… it’s a hobby. I enjoy it, totally get it’s not for everyone. Except for The Thing, I don’t think any of the posters are missing the “main names”. That’s what’s great about cons, almost everyone does them.

we went to fanexpo philly 2023 and it was rough for us. it was so disorganized and chaotic, con officials were rude, and it was just a mess. if one can afford VIP it seems to be worth at as in most lines, the VIP line had to be empty for them them to let any non-vip people in… but it seems nothing changed between last year and this year.
There is something awkward about these Fan Expos. I get it all about opportunity and economics right. Theres an element of actors being paraded around in the zoo kind of feel to all of this. I Understand signing autographs for a fee is part of their revenue stream and they have an opportunity to make some income from these events, but what does it say about our culture and the dynamics of para social relationships when we are willing to give up hours of our time and significant amount of our money for brief interactions with public figures. Look if you enjoy meeting your idols and this provides you with this opportunity all the power to you.
You know I don’t disagree, to me it’s not so much of “omg I’m meeting so-and-so” and more of an expression of admiration for certain movies I enjoy. I am a big fan of these people as well, and I think the Fan Expo is much better for everyone than running up to them when they’re out to dinner or something. This is my hobby, I don’t mind spending the money (as long as I think it’s reasonable, no way I’m spending $300+), but I do easily see what some think it’s strange. :)
@@camlector look I’m not here to judge what people’s hobbies are and what gives people enjoyment, at the end of the day this is not hurting anyone and if everyone approaches this in the right spirit from the fan, organizer to the talent then sure all is good. As an outsider looking in theres is obviously a market for this type of service/experience given the large number of people attending these events. If these events come to your area and this is what you enjoy then attend and have a good time. 👍

One con here, I got kicked out because they didn't give people the right passes and I think I had to pay again. It was awful trying to explain. Also someone hit a power pole and knocked out power to the whole con. And.... a famous wrestler died and all the WWE cancelled and guests left early. Then when I got home, I found my comics were messed up as I didn't see the damage in the dark convention hall. So all in all. It sucked. Kimberly Leemans did sign my photo and I think I got a free photo op. They even spelled one of the guests names wrong on the banner.
Damn… I guess Fan Expo Philly wasn’t so bad after all 😂
I met skeet at flashback weekend in Chicago and he was so nice. He asked where I worked and talked for about 5 min. He also had no line so that could have something to do with it.
I’ve heard mixed things, maybe was just having an off day with me!
