    Thanks for being clear and consise. Using proper football terms. I can't understand some of these old coaches. I'm like how did their players understand anything.

    I can’t even say, how long I have sought for exactly that kind of video format. Explanation pace is nice, depth of details & nuances is nice, combining theory with film is nice Just great.

    Love the series so far! Very informative. What helps me with all numbers is that ODD numbers are OUTSIDE. This is true for blocking and for WR route trees. (5 out, 7 corner, ect)

    Thanks for doing these! I don't know if you take requests, but what I'd like to see is how teams use things like formations and motion to create matchups with the defense, we're always hearing about things like that from announcers, about the chess match that goes on between OC and DC

    What exactly do you mean by 1,2,3,4 techniques? Is there a difference in DE between a 3-4 and 4-3? Do the linebackers take turns at being the 4th rusher?

  • @nobelpeaceprizeloser3242
    @nobelpeaceprizeloser32425 жыл бұрын

    weallbfree in a 4-3 over defense, the N plays a 1, T plays a 3, and the E’s play a 5 or a 9. In a 3-4, DE’s play a “head up” 4 technique. In a 4-3, DE’s play an “outside shade” 5 technique or 9. (5,1) (3,9) The reason for the difference in defense is philosophy. Neither defense is “right” or “wrong”, it just depends if a coach wants to: 1(3-4). “two-gap”, read and react, play games with a 4th rusher, sort-of passive, bend-don’t break. AKA New England Patriots or Baltimore Ravens or Los Angeles Rams 2(4-3). “One gap”, aggressive, more predictable, not as much slanting. AKA Los Angeles Chargers or Carolina Panthers or New Orleans Saints. I like the 4-3 defense more as a preference because I want my big d-linemen to pin their ears back and get penetration in the backfield(and not do so much thinking if they are in the correct gap or not, let the linebackers think). If you’re d-line sucks, you should play a 3-4 since d-linemen in those schemes don’t make plays unless you are named Aaron Donald. If your linebackers suck you should play a 4-3 since linebackers in this scheme can be better protected.

    How could this video be over a year old and NO comments?! Allow me to remedy that. Thanks for making these! I don't know if they will help me with Madden, but if so, it will be a hell of a lot better than the "tutorials" they have in that game. THose are rather useless. Very informative video this!

    No offense intended, but are you saying, "shorter in" at 3:02 and following? And if so, do you mean it's a square in route for fewer yards than the one for more yards? Thanks.

    Played WR and Corner for a while , Like your stuff but the four go routes is not bad of a deal for cover 3 Corner ... Your taught in Zone the windows a qb would throw the ball into ... a cover 3 corner plays a third and should not just take the WR in front of him he should be running over the top of both WR in his third ... Essentialy ready to totally wipe out the slot seam route as soon as he catches it or break to the sideline to block that WR from catching , in cover 3 you have deep third and should never give up leverage of about 5 to 10 yards cushion

    There's a very short list of humans that can cover a slot seam from an outside corner alignment if the outside receiver takes an outside release and runs vertically.
