    Would be curious to see what this looks like over a high-latency connection? I assume there’s still necessarily some rubber banding?

    Been trying Zellij for about a week and I can't like it more. Tmux is nice but trying to scroll or copy contents was very weird to me. Zellij does it in a better more natural way. Now I'm looking for ways to have a custom layout with everything I usually need and use in my terminal.

    is it really required with setting up a new sampler, bind group, render pass etc... for every frame if the texture is changing? like if it's a video, or a different shader output?

    Think you missed a nice option from AWS for Rust apps, which is ECR+ECS with Fargate, you just need a Docker image that compiles the Rust binary and keep it running and that's it. Also ElasticBeanstalk could help on that too.

    woah!! Adding this ``` [profile.dev] opt-level = 1 [profile.dev.package."*"] opt-level = 3 ``` to my cargo.toml file was an instant ~5x speed boost while running tests. Thank you much much!

    You know, it could have been useful if searching and learning documentation was taught at university. But that would just be too useful. Go implement linked lists and invert them in the billionth language. It's good we have someone on KZread that actually shows this stuff, even if it probably doesn't need to be that complicated in the first place.

    I've noticed that you're spawning cargo doc server by hand. I find it more handy to run "cargo doc --open", which doesn't run a server, but opens the static page in the browser. Any reason for doing it differently?

  • @chrisbiscardi
    @chrisbiscardi19 күн бұрын

    I tend to not use --open because I'm trying to put it in a *specific* browser window for the stream/video/etc, not just whatever my OS wants to use (which could be on any desktop). cargo doc will also execute a build of the docs, which isn't necessarily what I'm trying to do. Sometimes I just want to serve docs I've already built.

    @@chrisbiscardi confused actually , jumping from one linux distro to another one , trying to learn multiple language and now i can't do anything. I am trying to learn multiple things at once. Please Give me advice on this. I Know the basic that i shouldn't e doing this but i am unable to stop myself (sorry English is my second language)

  • @chrisbiscardi
    @chrisbiscardi18 күн бұрын

    @@manveer_official145 haha yeah, I'd definitely suggest at least sticking with one linux distro for a few months at least. I'd say if you can't really stop yourself from jumping around, at least try to jump around in one context. For example: pick web development and jump between web technologies and frameworks. or pick a language and jump around building lots of different little tools. Try to get all the jumping around to work together in a single direction.

    rust should only be used when you need to target machine code. Else there is no reason to not use Java.

  • @chrisbiscardi

    you're absolutely right. I tend to default to they as a general way of referring to people but she does have her preferred pronouns listed and I'll make more of an effort in the future to use she/her instead.
