    Sinner suffered from illness (chronic tonsillitis) these past few months. Alcaraz, on the other hand, missed a few big tournaments due to injuries before turning 21. Personally, I think Sinner will have a longer and more successful career. As for other competitors, Rune will be there to mess them up.

  • @nikhils2381
    @nikhils23812 күн бұрын

    How do you know his Tonsillitis is chronic ? At the moment it's hard to envision Sinner having a more successful career. He's 2 years older than Alcaraz and has 3 less Grand Slams and masters than him. He could soon lose the #1 ranking and fall further behind in that too. Rune is not gonna challenge Alcaraz unless he improves his forehand and fitness. His forehand just has a weird form.

    @@nikhils2381 it's in the news in Europe. As for the careers, let's see. It is still too early to write Sinner off and give all the advantages to Carlos. Once they are in their mid thirties, it'll be interesting to see how they fare.

    @@JP-Hovey Nothing to be sorry about JP. Tennis rankings are complicated, and with literally a dozen or so professional events happening around the world every week they are always changing. If you haven't already checked out the rankings breakdown on the ATP site that really helps to understand how players have accumulated points, and also the live ranking sites are helpful to keep track of points being removed, and added every week. Particularly before, and during the majors I look at live rankings daily to see the impact of the latest results.

    Alcaraz was absolutely amazing. I would've been surprised if Djoko won looking at his previous matches but I certainly wasn't counting him out because Alcaraz did look vulnerable but also Djoko has won numerous titles. But I've seen him (Alcaraz) numerous times and one of his strengths is his positivity and the courage to go for it whether he wins the point or not. No fear to go for it. It's high risk at times but very exciting and good for him. Agassi was questioning whether Alcaraz could dominate tennis because he "smiles" alot during the Netflix slam match. I thought to myself. Yes. Of course he can! Everyone is different. Agassi hated tennis lol and won, but Alcaraz loves it and wins. I also heard many people bang on about lack of concentration during matches but I think this is completely normal as someone so young. I do not expect him to be so consistent, that's why I'm amazed at how well he's doing. I remember Djoko doing plenty of drop-shots which was losing him many points. He changed this later on and became very secure in his game. I also agree. He is the best player at the moment. He was sensational in the final. The most dangerous thing is that he is most unpredictable and he has everything in his game so those skills could come out at any moment during a match. And once he's matured and consistently hits the right shots at the right time, then he will be almost invincible. My only wish, is that he does not have major injuries. If that's the case, he can make double digit slams. But who knows, it's not a guarantee. Winning multiple grand-slams is very difficult. We've witnessed extraordinary tennis with the big 3 and Murray. I don't expect history to repeat itself quite like that so I do not compare with them. But what this does, is great for tennis. The Sinner-Alcaraz rivarly will only get bigger. Love both the guys. They'll also be other guys such as late-bloomers and new young blood who will challenge. That's always the case.

    I see a lot of excuses here for Novack's performance, like his knee injury, even Novak said he didn't blame the knee he simply was outplayed, his words, not mine. Anyone who saw the AO match with Sinner could predict we would get a similar result and he didn't even have the knee injury. He simply doesn't have the energy to complete with players that have the same or greater skill than him when they make him run all over the court. It's not just youth its skill as well because he can still take out younger players that are still ranked relatively high.

    what is novak going to say the truth ?? he has all the records doesn't need look down on anyone he has nothing to prove...Carlos knows himeself he won by default against a injured,one legged, 37 yr old who just had knee surgery...Big deal nothing to praise or any kind of real achievement..Ndal/djoki aussie 2012 final 2 healthy guys battling for 6 hours that is a match.. I would bet the farm if djoki got the 3rd setwould be talking different ,carlos would have been embarrased being beaten by a cripple..Carlos is not the smartest guy he will win some more in the goldilocks era with nadal/djoki,murray,fed.wawarinka all gone..once his hard hitting injuries start creeping up he will fade away

    One thing i wasn't expecting was how aggressive and quick Carlos started. Last year Carlos had a horrid start and also had to contend with Novak's stalling ploys. This year i picked Carlos again because he is so much better nentally. Novak looked stunned throughout and appeared to be desperate. Either way Carlos was not to be stopped. His serving was also a factor.
