Errol Flynn is the biggest inspiration for the cartoon Tasmanian Devil which had been introduce to the public in 1954.

The book has more detail on the "lovebirds" the woman is also an officer's wife and the Pole is a labourer sent from the General Government to work in her garden. She got two years in Ravensbruck while he gets 25 to life (if he's lucky) while her husband is demoted and disgraced.

12apr2024 Relentless.-1 .1977.(W Sampson.Markham.Hillerman.Marianna Hill.[Katzin]{Garfield.Rolfe.wrt.’death wish’.nov._6.9_1h30_/ An Arizona state trooper, who is also an Indian, pursues a gang of paramilitary-type robbers into the mountains. The gang has killed the trooper's uncle and taken a woman hostage, and the trooper must use his tracking and hunting skills to find the gang and rescue the hostage./ This was Sampson's first starring bill and he proves effective as the towering laconic tracker. This could very well be the first film where a Native American plays a starring Indian hero. Production-wise, the movie's on par with "Pray for the Wildcats" (1974), but not as compelling, although it's notably superior to "Savages" (1974). The score is serviceable, but too bland 70s-ish, although it eventually throws in some good militaristic percussion. The story was taken from the book by the writer of "Death Wish" (1974). While "Relentless" doesn't rise to the excellence of that iconic movie, it's effective enough as a straightforward Western-in-the-modern-day and is worth checking out if you like the cast.// I read the Brian Garfield's book many times and I love it. But at my big surprise, this Tv movie is even more superior. Characterization is pulled at a higher level, especially when tle bad guys leader - the former Special forces in Nam officer - talks about his motivations; the audience feels nearly empathy for him. Terrific, I did not expect this and this is not in the novel. And the bad guy whistling or singing When Johnny Comes Marching Home, that was not in the novel either, and it's excellent for me, that brings a little touch in this topic after all not so new, I admit, but still very well made. You'll also notice offbeat camera angles very unusual for this kind of production. And the face to face between those two men, the Special Forces veteran, the master of military warfare, even in the wilderness, and this Indian, master himself too in tracking a prey in desert, woods, snow, anywhere, it's breathless for someone like me./// Another Good One: Relentless.-2.1989.Dead On.(Judd Nelson.R Loggia.L Rossi.Meg Foster.)[Will Rustig]{PA Robinson.wrt.Lemmo.ph.Jay Chattaway.msc}_5.9_1h34_

Ruth had to die because she knew too much. She was an associate of Stephen Ward who in turn was a central figure, with Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice Davies, in the Profumo scandal that kicked off just a few years later. No woman had been hanged in the UK for almost 45 years, but poor Ruth fell foul of people in high places.

The great Maltese people were the best allies Britain ever had. And their wish to become an equal and integral overseas part of the United Kingdom under Dom Mintoff should have been welcomed with open arms. But wretched traitors in British government rejected Malta, which is now in the corrupt clutches of EU and the mafias of Sicily and Russia. While Britain has opted for islamification.

Fantastic movie! I grew up during the mid-seventies and eighties, so a lot of the actors in this film are familiar to me. Will Sampson's character is relatable and very admirable. I enjoyed Larry Wilcox's performance as well. The interactions of his character with Sampson's go a long way to developing our understanding of "Sam's" leadership qualities, depth of loyalty to others, and his devotion to duty. As a kid, I was a fan of the work Wilcox did with Erik Estrada on the police drama CHiPs. Two thumbs up, especially for the great Will Sampson!
