Hi, I'm CoinPig...you'll find a selection of videos of coins and related topics here...hence, the name! ;)
I'm an enthusiastic collector and coin hunter, I'm not an expert numismatist!
I have been on KZread (on this channel) for over 10 years now, so I thought it about time to actually upload a few videos every now and again!

I have the 1901 one which is the rarer one of the whole series, apart from the small rose veriety of 1893, and the small letter veriety.
Great coin. Congratulations and thanks for your comment 👍
2 pound? It's the value of the silver at the very least! So around $20 per coin.
It's not silver!
I do England have a one hundred proud note like Australia and USA one hundred dollars notes ?
No BoE £100 notes, sorry!
0:17 that’s not a coin hunt that’s must be a note hunt instead
Sorry
What mystifies me is why the Bank of England chose the letter combinations. AA, AB, AC, AD, AE, AH, AJ, AK, AL, AM, then toe BA, BB, BC (video too old for those, not many about of those IMHO) Also why the run from 01 - 60, but not beyond, like they do with 10's and 20's. This comment is in the future with the release of the KIng Charles £5, CA is the letters chosen so far..... Must check your other videos now to see if you have refreshed the search for more combinations of numbers.
No idea, tbh! 👍
You wrote 2022 Brexit!
Sorry
I have two of these. Exactly identical 1970 Proof Sets. I inherited them from my father in law when he passed away. What is the value of one of these sets in perfect mint condition in today's marketI wonder?? Ontario, Canada
Thanks for the comment - sorry for your loss. I can't really say what coins are worth outside of The UK - as with most coins, they will vary greatly in value dependent on a lot of factors, including the regional market you are in. Best thing to do is speak to a valuer in your area, really. Sorry I can't be more specific.
i have this coin.
Great, thanks for commenting 👍
Yes, I've spotted your deliberate mistake - they are Lions, NOT Britannia's...
Yes, as I mentioned in the comment I think I was forgetting it was 10p coins I was supposed to be replying about, not 50p coins😊
Where do you get Vaultex bags from? I just Googled them and as it happens they have a location just round the corner from me... Is it a case of going in there and asking for a bag? Or do Vaultex deliver to banks, and maybe this is a bag that you were given from your bank? Thanks so much, huge congrats on finding a Kew!
Thanks for the congratulations, appreciated.. - Yes, sadly you do need to ask your bank, Vaultex won't want you turning up at their business address...in fact, I'd definitely not do that! If it looks like scoping out somewhere like - that will definitely get you noticed, not in a good way! 🤣 If you ask at your bank they should be able to help, but you might just want to ask for £50 initially...it's usually better to start with lower amounts! Thanks for your comment once again! 👍
@@CoinPig Thanks very much, have already been doing a fair amount of searching in the last few weeks, since I began my 50p hunts, and I've managed to get a few £250 bags (have one ready to open with a friend tonight) but have been looking for a more consistent way to get them and when I saw Vaultex was so near I was hopeful! Not to worry, thanks! :)
The serial number of the 5 pounds I have is AD54 032222. How much is it worth?
Hi, thanks for commenting, I appreciate it.👍 Prices of banknotes really depend on condition tbh, absolute perfection of condition is most sought-after.. Having four of the same numbers in the serial number alone only increases value by a small amount however - possibly only by £1 or £2 if the seller is able to find the right buyer! Hope that helps?
A bit late to the party, but that's the third CW I've seen found today (and the second NI) ! A really good hunt with more low mintage finds as well 👍
Thanks for the comment, appreciated - I did record this video in February, so, I'm a bit late to my own party, lol - it has been awhile.. Thanks again!👍👍
Very nice CWG N.I. 🎉💪🏻 Great stuff CoinPig 👍🏻
Thank you for the comment, always appreciated!👍🏻👍🏻
I found a edge error Shakespeare tragedies on Easter Sunday, would love to know how much it's worth
Congratulations... 👏 They seem to sell on eBay for between £20 and £70...but that is a bit too high, if you ask me...more realistically, I'd say £15 - £35...but that is now and in 5 or 10 years time they may sell for £2.50 ...or... £250, only time will tell! Thanks for commenting, appreciated 👍
Now i watched from start to finish because you didn't give the game away, I hate it when you see the star find in the thumb nail or in the description....
I see comments both ways, honestly...it's a tricky line to tread sometimes 😀 Thank you for watching and it sometimes takes longer to decide on the thumbnail, than it takes to record the video in the first place! 🤣 Thanks again for commenting, always appreciated 👍
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks for commenting, appreciated 👍
Wow nice hunt what a find 👏 NI 😊
Thank you for commenting👍 Yes, I can't believe it, honestly...happening so soon, as well! 😀
Very nice 👌
It is, yes...thank you for your comment, appreciated 👍👍
Wow Coinpig you have been having some amazing hunts and this one is no exception. What a find , absolutely brilliant 🥳, really pleased for you 😁👌.
There are always certain coins you cannot find regardless of the luck...but I've done OK recently, that's for sure! 🙂 Thank you for your support and comments, it always means a lot! 👌👍
Superb CoinPig. You’re heading towards a full house of top finds, just missing the NIFC
Thanks...there are a few I'd love to find, tbh! 😂🤞 Thanks again for your comment, appreciated as always 👍
Whoopie!! A great NI find coinpig congrats they aren't easy to come across so well done 💥👍
Thanks for commenting, appreciated as always 👍 I've found a few in the last year...can't really complain, tbh!
Northern Ireland Unbelievable well done I'm still yet to get it on the channel. Most them King And Country errors up north 😇
I don't believe it! 😂 It will appear, just when you least expect it, no doubt - I think one or two King and Country 'errors' may be in the south too - I hope!🤞 Thank you for the comments, appreciate it👍
Fantastic hunt & find👌👍
Not bad at all... Thank you for the comment, always appreciated!👍
Great hunt, cracking find.
Thank you for the comment.👍 You can't say no!😁
i have same coins in the video haow can i sell are u buying? I want to sell it
Those Olympics were breeding as fast as the Peter Rabbits! 😂And not one Benjamin Bunny or 2017 Peter Rabbit in sight either 🤷🏻♂
There were weren't they...but not the 2017s, apparently!😂 Thank you for your comment. Appreciated!👍
A treasure trove me hearty 🏴☠️
Indeedy, hoist the colours - A treasure trove be the stuff of legends! ...as ChatGPT puts it! 😆 Thanks for commenting, always appreciated 👍
Excellent hunt!! Nice variety of finds!!🤘
Wasn't bad, yes! 😂 Thank you for commenting, appreciated👍
Wow that hunt was a tale of Peter Rabbits and Olympics Coinpig. Another amazing hunt , well done 😁👏👏. Based on a lower mintage my favourite is the Tennis 🎾.
Yes...as I said in the title - '..so many' 😂 Thanks for commenting, always appreciate your comments, Jude I can't decide - still! 👍
Coinpig, what a great hunt!! it definitely was worth the sllight annoyance of having loose coins, nice to see the 2011's appear in. numbers, superb👍💥
Thanks, yes..the loose coin issue is always frustrating...especially when the person rebags the whole thing in a second £250 bag! 😂 Nevertheless, still an excellent amount of finds! 😲 Thanks again for commenting, I appreciate the effort - always! 👍
The best find for me is the Olympic Tennis 🎾 but a lot of 2nd place contenders Great stuff CoinPig 👍🏻
Yes, one or two to choose from in this hunt! 😂 Thank you for commenting - appreciated as always 👍
Brilliant 😎😎😎
Thanks!👍 Appreciate your comment👍
Strange hunt with a great result. I've never seen so many Peter Rabbits outside my collection.
Yes it was, but I used to find a lot of these strange hunts...they are a lot less common since I started recording the hunts, to be honest! 😬 Thank you for commenting, appreciated as always 👍
It breaks my heart to think someone has cashed their coins in, but on the itherside, I would go without bread and milk to jeep mine😂, it always goes to make a good hunt well done love you did really good.❤
We may never know the reasons why I found these...but it might have always been their intention to return any duplicates, once they find an entire collection - so that may be the good news! We will probably never know, for sure! Thank you for commenting, appreciated as always 👍
Outstanding CoinPig. Never seen so many Peter Rabbits. Star finds got to be all those Olympics. Great hunt👌👍
Thank you for commenting, always appreciated 👍 ...and that is why I asked a question in the title of this video...🤔...there must be a backstory to it! 😀 ...we may never know, however!
Hi CoinPig, excellent hunt ⭐ find for me Olympic Shooting. 👍
Thanks for the comment 😬 Appreciated as always - There are a few to choose from! ..I'm still undecided 😂👍
BOOM-tastic hunt CoinPig 🤩👌. It's really funny that whenever a Kew is found in hunts, the first thing we think of is "is it genuine" 😁. I know I did, when my daughter found a one when we were doing a hunt together. Flopsy Bunny hardly gets a mention, but that was an amazing find too along with the Volleyball and EU Stars. Really weird 2014 off centre strike as well. 👍
😂 I really appreciate your comment..thank you. 👍 I've had many sleepless nights worrying about finding a counterfeit Kew...and not noticing it until the comments point it out! 🤣 (OK, not many sleepless nights...maybe an hour or so over the years!) 🤣 There were a few good other finds, yes...but that 2014 Shield has still left me puzzled...🤯🤣👍Thanks again.👍
Now that one less Kew and more harder to get. It’s the only coin I have to get. Plus the coronation coin to come this year.
Don't worry, there are still thousands out there, somewhere! ...but the Kew 50p is no more difficult to find than the 2019 A-Z 10p coins - based on mintage figures! 👍 Thanks for commenting 👍 Good luck 🤞
@@CoinPig you’re welcome
@@CoinPig I have managed to find at least 7 of those coins. In particular the Y that was found at my local pub
Well done! 👍
Wow. That's absolutely fantastic. A really special moment for you. Well deserved 👏. I was speaking to a customer the other day and the topic turned to coins. She mentioned her mother had passed last month and amongst her belongings was a jar full of 'special' 50ps collected over the last 20years or so. This customer neither had the time or patience to deal with them, so simply cashed them in. She got almost £1100. It isn't inconceivable there may have been a Kew in there. Certainly a few Olympics. What I'm trying to say is that there are clearly still opportunities for even the rarest coins to still be found in circulation. 👍 Never stop looking.
Thank you for your comment, Monty...sorry, not sure why KZread withheld it, tbh!😬 I appreciate your comment, though...always appreciated! Sad for your customer - that is over four full bags of 50p coins! It's a shame we will probably never know if there was a Kew in there, somewhere!😥 ..but yes, just keep looking - you never know when..! 👍
Indeed. Over 2000 commemorative 50ps! Oh how I would have loved to check through them. May they find themselves good homes.
Congratulations mate, cracking hunt.
Thank you for commenting...appreciated!👍 Not bad, yes! lol
Swashbuckling treasure at its finest me hearty 🏴☠️ ❤️ 🎉 💪
I hope there is no buckling...but there may be a bit of swash..🤷🏼♂️ (sorry about that!) ..😂 Thanks for commenting, appreciated as ever! 👍
Well done.....
Thank you 👍 Thanks again for commenting 👍
Congrats Coinpig I’ve been doing 50p coin video hunts for 4 years now and still not found one well done mate 👍
Thank you for your comment, appreciated as ever! 👍 To be fair, they were never that easy to find even just after release in 2009, but one will show up eventually..🤞Just keep looking..😀
Amazing hunt!! Whoop whoop 🤘
Whoop, whoop! 🤣 Thanks for commenting, always appreciated 👍
Congratulations
Thanks for commenting 👍 Appreciated 👍
We you definitely know what the ⭐️ find is and yes we did both swear🫣 well done CoinPig well deserved🏅👌👍👏
I hope you both put those pounds in the swear jar..? 🤣👍 Thank you for commenting, always appreciated 👍 🤣
@@CoinPig we did but had to take back out to get some bread & milk🤣
Congratulations Coinpig!! I didn't pay too much attention to the thumbnail so i was probably as surprised as you 😮what a brilliant find & overall a great hunt💯👍💥
I never pay much attention to the thumbnail either...🤣👍🤣 Thank you for your comment, appreciated as always 👍
Ahh well done 👏🏻 congratulations on your super find!! I still haven’t found one myself but don’t begrudge anyone else finding one that’s amazing 😊 A nice off-centred 2014 Shield 🛡️ Great stuff CoinPig 👍🏻
They always show up when you least expect it! Keep on looking! 🤞👍 Thank you for commenting, appreciated as always and yes, a couple of nice side finds too..👍😀
Cracking find well done 👏
Thank you and really appreciate your comment 👍
